Slugslinger looks like he could be UW Cyclonus' little brother.

Cool to see Misfire will have the black head. It really ties the look together.

 

first of all, heads aside, these look great to me. Sharing legs and a few parts with Triggerhappy, but basically new molds.
The heads though, seem a tad unrefined compared to most of TR, which has almost universally had exceptional headsculpts (well, face Sculpts). These 2 remind me of Getaway and Swoop, which have a softer feel then most of the rest of the line.

My only other complaint is I wish Misfire's Hue was a couple degrees towards Magenta, he really seems a tad too pink.

I don't mind Slugslinger having fake cockpits, since he'd have to be AT LEAST Voyager scale if not probably leader to have dual cockpits that could contain a Titanmaster like that.

Hasbro releasing renders like this though, i know we heard tell of a solicit for Wave 5 that only had Misfire and a repack of Wierdwolf, but i wonder if there's not a chance Slugslinger ends up in there too. Probably not, but interesting regardless.

I mean, I'm getting these guys of course. But one thing that bugs me is when a figure has asymmetrical weapons, but no center-line attachment points in vehicle mode.

Like, I don't mind a robot holding different blasters in each hand... but when it's time for a super aerodynamic jet mode, I just can't stand the sight of different weapons under each wing. Wish the figure had some 5mm holes in the middle somewhere for those to plug into instead.

 

Phew! So glad the front of the head is black (instead of all pink).
The cgi pink seems too much but I didn't have a problem with the level of Pink when the toy was shown (with wrong color head) So hoping it's simply a cgi/artificial lighting thing.

Slugslinger still looks awesome! I even like how his weapon looks like it could be a targetmaster (even though it's not)

 

Slugslingers top half almost looks like topspin..., while the Lower half is obviously Triggerhappy

That will be two Hasbro purchases for me, unless Takara manages to get of their asses and reveal a darker coloured Slugslinger befor pre-orders for these guys go up.

That would round out the Titans Return line perfectly as far as i'm concerned.

 

Looking good, I will admit that I was hoping for double cockpits for Slugslinger's titanmasters, but maybe that's unreasonable for a deluxe price point figure.

 

So great to see Misfire. Fingers crossed Takara gives him a black head and a slightly darker color overall, but even if they don't I'll be happy with what I see here.

 

I like the guns on Slugslinger, very much look like the Targetmaster weapon, perhaps it\'s a look what it would have been pre-TM.

Misfire is very well done. Hope these are just as nice in-person.

 

I mentioned I was confused by it. I thought Misfire had red eyes?

 

Did Misfire had a blue visor in any incarnation? I know red visor, red eyes and blue eyes

 

Damn it! Every time I try to ease back on Titans they keep releasing must have figures. I always wanted Misfire the most of the large Con Targetmasters, he had the best altmode and colours by far and this guy just looks amazing. Slugslinger's cool too, which is good because I'd hate to have the team incomplete.

So where's our Titans Return Fulcrum and Crankcase? We are so close to a complete set of Scavengers now.

And just as I post this I see the official images, and Misfire has a black head.

 

ARGH! As always the official photos look utterly terrible. Stop using CGI render Hasbro! You aren't doing your figures any justice!

 

I dunno, I kind of like them. It's a shame the actual physical product rarely looks as good as the renders.

This Misfire render in particular remind me of the spaceship from the old computer game Descent. Neat.

 

Glad Misfire\'s face turned out to be black after all   There\'s still something slightly \'off\' about the head IMO, but that may just be that I\'ve become accustomed to his IDW design. I\'m fine with the end result though, Misfire was the only large Decepticon Targetmaster I had as a kid and it was one of my favorites. I\'m glad the character is getting an update.

Slugslinger looks damn near perfect. I love everything about it.
