Here is part 2 of my TR Minerva. Part 1,Minor/Repaint: - TR Minerva, was the headmaster JR and now for the body.

I took TR breakaway and made this one. The intent, as i try to do when i make a custom, is to try to make it as much as the cartoon as possible while also giving homage to the toy as well.

I tried to find red cross stickers but failed so i ended up painting them on by hand. A little sloppy but im ok with it.

The lights are custom made with rectangular styrene coped around the notches at the top of the canopy and filled in with putty.

I wanted to emulate the red on the toy on the hood

I cut the chest piece short and sanded down the middle to make it flush and took putty to smooth it out. I hand molded the extrusion on the left and bottom center. Then took a piece of styrene tube for the "hinge" looking piece. The "vents" are actually part of the original body so it was pretty convenient it being there as i think it does the job of emulating her design

A little bit of head master jr show down

All in all i think it turned out pretty good and is proudly sitting on my shelf.

Next up finishing my Diver/Waverider then on to Cab and then Shuta using this same mold.

Hope u enjoy and get inspired to give this a try.

In order to make the red crosses neater, I recommend taping around the crosses and painting with layers of thin red paint in the cross-shaped hole inside the tape.

Failing that, you could apply some thin, red, sticky tape, cut into cross shapes, and pop them over the "offending" hand painted ones.

That or order the G1 reproduction stickers from Reprolabels/Toyhax.

thanks for the advice. I did consider using red electrical tape to make the crosses and i checked toyhax but i couldnt find anything that would work. None of the ratchet or first aid packs had any or enough of them. I may redo them. In person i dont really think its that bad. We'll see.

This could really work as an official release (and Id buy it). Superb job.
