This line has been very different than previous lines when it comes to remolds. Highbrow from Scourge and Broadside from A3 stand out the most for me due to the remolded figures being almost completely unrecognizeable from the originals. So my question is simple. Who are we getting from the inevitable remold of Galvatron? I could see Star Saber, shockwave maybe. A lazy repaint as Energon Galvatron? What do you guys think?
I don't think so... Let's think Outside the box here. What about Cybertron Scrap Iron? Just retool Galvatron's Altmode into a space satellite. And add some elements of the Armada Astroscope mold he's redecoed from in there.
I don't see Galvatron being reused for any other character really. At best I'd want a toy accurate repaint.
Me neither, including Shockwave. (Unless it was one heavy remold, and even that would be kind of pushing it.)
Thats the thing! People keep saying Shockwave, Snapdragon, Apeface, etc. I just don't see it. I keep saying that if they do the Horrorcons they'd give them a mold all to themselves. Shockwave meanwhile needs his own voyager mold with a submarine mode that can pass as a laser gun.
A3 is more likely to be Thundertron. Galvatron could make for an interesting Swoop. Retool that ship into a pteradactyl and you're good to go. I actually have started to wonder if Snapdragon won't become Grimlock.
As others have mentioned there was that one good Snapdragon custom posted a while back, and a rumored Voyager Snapdragon. So that's possible. But I wouldn't be surprised if Galvatron doesn't get another use. He's a popular enough character that HasTak would probably be ok with a single use mold for him.
I guess i could see Snapdragon, though I also can see Astroscope out of TR Galvatron aswell. Even more so. Though i feel bad no one else sees that.
Shockwave is by no means impossible, but has recently had a CW version and has a distinctive head shape which doesn't lend itself to a Titan Master. So probably not.
I'll take a Marvel accurate repaint with matching CW Magnus and a black helmet Megatron Titanmaster for multipacks that will never happen. Chest is probably close enough for a FOC Quake but that idea makes the above seem a bit more likely. As others have mentioned an Energon Megatron to go with the Armada repaint?
I've actually been wondering if they're going to modify some of these to be non-Titanmasters for future re-uses or modifications. I mean they reissued Classics Hot Rod in various forms tons of times since the mold debuted 10 years ago, and TR Hot Rode pretty much is it's replacement. Is it coming with a TR head for the next 10 years? Or Blurr? And yes, Galvatron especially? I just don't see it. They'd modified on this level before when they replaced Armada's Minicon functionality in Energon.
