Couldn't find any other mention of this, but I thought I'd let people know (at least at this one store), Titans Return deluxes are now $9.99. I took one over and scanned it to verify. Probably just a holiday price reduction, but it should benefit customizers.
I grumbled in the price drop at Wal Mart thread about already have these... but, now would be a good time to get a second Blurr for hacking up and maybe eliminating the Headmaster aspect of it.
These are the new price tags themselves, not sales tags if anyone was wondering. The device I scanned the tag with showed no expiration date.
I'm going to Target next week. Now if Wave 3 could also happen to be available in Syracuse by next weekend, that'd be splendid.
I freakin' work at Target now and this is the first I've heard of this. I can verify what's going on when I start my shift tomorrow morning.
I'm not going to pretend I know a lot about how the toys get from Hasbro to the consumer, so I'm curious... Are the drastic price reductions at Walmart and Target a sign that TR is selling well, badly, or neither? Everything I heard was that TR was selling very well, so they shouldn't need a price drop to clear out stock.
No, they're just trying to get an early start on the holiday season/black friday by clearing out old stock of toys for the new stuff which of course will sell more. As for how toys get from points A to B, basically the retailer orders the wave cases from Hasbro and has them shipped to distribution warehouses. These warehouses then split up the shipments onto trucks, which drive the product to individual stores. At 4am, these trucks are unloaded and roughly 50% of everything goes on the floor or to the backroom stock for later distribution on the sales floor. Product that is not able to be put on the sales floor is then put into backstock.
I never would have guessed that Blurr and Scourge would be the pegwarmers, but I think their monochromatic color schemes have something to do with that. I figured they'd be recognizable to casual fans and parents of kids due to Transformers: The Movie.
This is all fine and dandy. I just left my Target and the generations deluxes are now $9.99. However, all they had were 10 CW Ironhides, 1 CW Sunstreaker, and 1 CW Prowl.. ZERO TR figures...
That's still better than mine here in New York, were they have nothing but a bunch of Legion and Minicon RID crap.
