My TR Blurr had a major factory defect. For some odd reason, the head kept popping off and forming into some little scrub robot. What was a Blurr to do? Well, I decided to kill the little robot (removed legs at thighs and glued all pieces solid) and hollow out the nose section of the alt mode and mounting platform to allow for the newly de-botified head to fit nice and snugly. No parts-forming! Oh, and unintended Pyramidhead mode!
Welp...there you have it folks! I've got a cybertron blurr head just waiting to swap out with the headmaster and this mod will allow me to do it without partsforming. Great work here!
Dremel, using a small sanding drum, a metal cutting wheel and a larger cutting ball (I think it's for engraving). Pretty easy if you take your time.
I got it done much faster on mine with one of these: ... *tomato'd* ...okay fine, I'm leaving, I'm leaving! i really did do the mod though, but i kept hyperfire intact because I'm not a murderer
Just a heads up (hehe) the classics head looks good, but it's just a bit too tall to use with this great mod. I'd go back to the TR head, but I combined it with cycling's to get Devcon.
I still have to try this out this but without a powertool this would be a nightmare. I better go check if my friend if I can still borrow his Dremel.
