Yeah, exactly. I find the cloth hockey tape offers a bit more resistance because of the texture of the fabric. I only had to use two tiny squares on Columpio's hips. Duct tape (which is the same as Gorilla Tape, no?) and especially electrical tape tend to be a lot "slipperier".

Generally speaking, having a roll of black hockey tape around the house is a really useful thing. I don't even play hockey. :)

    :lol  Totally!

From what I've read (didn't watch the review since I'm not getting one anyway), the FP Slag has ratchet hips, not ball joint.

The only compromise I've been able to see on Roar (from afar) is that his tail comes off, and from what I've read, too easily.

I was more referring to the central figure, which I assume will be Grimlock. Fingers crossed.

He's fitting in quite nicely with the mish mashed crew.

In hand.. the figure is just awesome. The nitpicks while viable don't detract too much from this figure overall. I really think it looks and feels great.

Hasbro can't touch this.. Toyworld, *Golf Clap*.

because i've always wanted the dinobots to combine so if it sucks then there's no reason or intrest in it for me, non-combining dino's hold no intrest in me as well, i hated they didn't combine back in 85

Fair enough. I suppose if you don't like combined mode of this one then there is a 2nd option (GCreations).

Considering that the "five-man-team subgroup combiner" archetype didn't really exist in 1985, maybe your expectations were not realistic. Did you think that the Insecticons should combine too? Or the new minibots?

That said, if your dinobots are going to combine, they might as well combine into something cool looking. :)

Weapons leave much to be desired but the figures themselves.... beautiful in both bot and dino modes!

I have a question here. For all of these different groups coming out with non-MP dinos, do they all use 5mm pegs? And if so, since they are all pretty similar in size, would it make sense for Dr. Killinger and the GCI or Dr. Wu to come out with G1 inspired swords and guns? I'm sure that there are already acceptable stand-ins (I've seen some really wicked looking swords out there and I can see Sludge wielding a gattling gun with Slag and Snarl wielding shotguns and Swoop with a sniper rifle), but just thought that their old school weapons would be a little nostalgic.

To me it looks like right behind the head there's a hinge that the Dino head is attached to that looks like it can go down more and sit flat against the back.
