That color scheme evokes Optimus like others have said, or Superman.

I've been a big proponent of ToyWorld's throttlebots, but this bot mode color scheme just doesn't look right. The very bright red and very dark blue seem to clash a bit.

One (minor) improvement would be to use gold paint instead of bright yellow.

Does the light-piped eye visor contrast the blue head enough to even show?

As with FansProject's SmartRobin, I dont mind the lack of a face plate. Do your thing, ToyWorld!

To correct Scaleface, the cartoon/comic model mistakenly switches the heads between Chase and Searchlight. If you have both, it's kind of obvious. Freeway is the only one that came out ok.

On the Alt-modes for these guys, Why do I seem to be the only one put off by making such vehicle icons as the Ferrari Testarossa and Corvette stand down to SUVs (especially one by a company that should never have made an SUV -- Lamborghini!)

I'm not hung up on the "inaccuracy" of the vehicle modes. The G1 figures all had squashed, cartoony looking alt modes that weren't real recognizable to me (aside from Wideload) anyways.

I hope they are all SUVs.
Makes for a nice uniform set.

Actually, except Goldbug...he needs to be a VW Beetle.

Trace looks sweet. The engineering and scale remind me of Universe Swerve (Chevy Aveo). Anticipating the reveal of the next figure and those who follow.

Any update on this? With prices on Aurora dropping to $50 on BBTS and so many other 3rd party offerings, will the last 3 or 4 throttlebots get made?

Damn, was hoping for an update! I'd say a sale at BBTS is not a clear indicator of the success of this line. Like you, I'm really hoping all of them get made, combiner or not...

Yeah, what's weird to is I ordered their Orion or prime and I could swear the chase figure was suppose to be out before the prime. Now the prime and headmaster are like 10 days away from shipping but no update on this.

I can't see them not continuing with the line. For one, it's a combiner, and whenever they finish it, demand will almost certainly increase. It would have to be a pretty bad combiner for it not to. The quality on Not-Rollbar and Not-Searchlight is quite high. And, if they end it at just Not-Rollbar, Not-Searchlight, and Not-Chase, that would mean that they aren't bringing out Not-Goldbug, which again will probably have higher demand than the rest of them. It makes no sense for them not to produce a Not-Goldbug.

I bet if they redecoed these guys into more recognizable autobots... they'd get more attention. Sad truth, but this is why you see various Seeker and Prime offerings... both in official and unofficial contexts.

I'm sure it'll see release. It would be sad if they cancelled the series before we got a non-wideload.

It's on a third party timeframe. No updates, delays, blah blah blah. I wouldn't worry about the Throttlebots finishing up, it's just going to take a long time.

I sincerely hope they finish the line, at least make Goldbug. The upcoming Hasbro one looks sad, and will most likely succumb to GPS over time.
