I bought Grind Rod before I knew they were doing a combiner because these figures look so good. Aurora is sitting in my pile of loot. I can't wait until they release the rest of the line!

Yes.

Although with the lack of a "next member" reveal on the box and a total lack of updates from Toyworld im beginning to wonder just how long it will take to get the other 4 and see what all the fuss is about.

 

The bigger question I have, is will Wideload be larger than the rest of these guys and consequently make up the torso of their combined mode?

 

I am a little concerned about this myself. Assuming Grind Rod and Aurora are both feet, Aurora seems a quite a bit taller than Grind Rod in what has been assumed to be "foot mode". Now, granted, I am just eyeballing it, but it definitely seems uneven to me. Unfortunately, I don't have a back drop with built in ruler to compare it in front of.

Both are great products though.

 

There is nothing in the instructions or toy's engineering that suggest combining. The 'foot' modes are more like fan modes.

 

It doesn't have to be in the instructions. Let's just wait and see.  

 

Hopefully the next member gives us something to combine. I'm very curious if we are getting Goldbug as part of the team (which makes sense, but you never know...) as I could then part with the United Bumblebee with Beezleboss upgrade.

I'm on a real kick to have only one of each character.

 

But.. Toyworld themselves confirmed that the last bot will come with all the combiner bits.

 

They need some transformation. If you extend the legs on both from car mode, the combining ports end up at the exact same level.

It also gives them a combiner knee, and looks a lot better as a leg.

I'd say 2014 is ridiculously optimistic.

 

The ever advancing timescales and lack of a further reveal and any concrete details in months concern me too. I'll have lost interest if.it does take til next year or beyond....too much other stuff going on so this might not be a priority anymore. which will be a shame.

Meh, take as long as it needs, I'm not buying it for the combiner, instead update to the individual throttle bots. The only thing the combiner will sell me on would be goldbug.

Got mine today. Same leg defect others have mentioned. Any word from Toyworld for a fix or replacement? Mine is missing on the left leg - seems to be the same leg for everyone I have heard with the issue.
