I think once I accepted robots with beards, I pretty much let everything else slide and bought into the things I think are cool. Like robots with beards.

Lmao bayverse is still very popular. This thread itself shows that and there’s also a thread for live-action movie figures with over thousands of pages. Plus if Hasbro abandoned bayverse why were we getting SS and MPMs? We know that more bayverse characters are being worked on in SS. Your argument is already invalidated

Instabuy, even if I hope that crappy dragonball-fusion/armor-mode thing will not make unstable this fantastic model

This looks really cool, but... a character named Jetfire, but turns into a battleship? Or in this case, \"Sky Burst\". I mean, it\'s unique, and both forms look excellent, but why not an old bomber or something?

The designs are part from the quick scenes of tlk and part from idw comic’s Bayverse continuity . 26DB71AA-1F29-4FED-A6AD-EBD5822AC5F8.jpeg

I'm not a fan of majority robot designs from Live-Action Movies, but the Alt modes are eye candy to me, and this figure has my undivided attention.

This looks absolutely incredible! I love how much it looks like SS Jetfire. Kinda getting a clones vibe.

This WWI Battleship is based off of the Dreadnought. Which was 18,000 tons.

Absolutely not. Who says it's the Maine? (and it's not the next Maine after that)

::edit:: Hmmm, MAYBE the next Maine, after refitting after Pearl Harbor. Some of those ships got like 80% rebuilt, and looked COMPLETELY different from how they were originally built.

::edit 2:: nope, the second Maine was gone long before Pearl Harbor, wasn't one of the ones brought back up after sinking.

Although I wouldn't qualify this announcement as anything other than a curious oddity albeit a fun one, but it really seems like third party is where the fun and innovation are coming from in the TF world right now. Hasbro seems content to re-release ad nauseum the same characters over and over with new paint jobs and upgraded engineering, but third party innovates and seems to be having a ball doing it. YMMV as to whether I'm teetering on the verge of hyperbole with all that I've just said but well... there it is.

Actually it is. Considering Broadside transformed into a massive jet, even larger than Skyfire in the Cartoon.

Mass Shifting didn't actually apply to Broadside's alt modes. both were huge.

    So I Digress...

How does a WWI Battleship and a DREADNOUGHT no less which is 18,000 Tons.

become and SR-71 Blackbird if we are using BAY's Real World Scale Logic?

    SR-71 Blackbird - 60,000 lbs
WWI Battleship (Dreadnought) - 18,000 tons

Mass Shifting of an Object does not include the mysterious magical Addition or Subtraction of Weight. Merely the Redistribution of Pre-existing weight of said object.

I don't care how you try to make your brain justify it. It's illogical. Especially in the Bayverse which is all based on Real World Physics and yes, Scale.

(But, who am I kidding? :lol  All these years later, and you still just enjoy trying to argue my points and shut me down (Literally) every single time you've ever replied to anything I posted prior to now.)

huh, MUCH more solid looking alt than the SS toy and can do the armor thing with SS-05 (I assume any of them but it's nice to confirm for people who didn't get later versions)

this looks very cool, but I imagine those guys who are obsessed with scale having their heads explode due to the immense size of ships and Jetfire still combining with Prime lol.

Eh, it's got some Dreadnought-ish bits (stacks), but more like sorta-inspired-by-a-bit, than based on. This thing's main armament is 4 twin-turrets on the centerline, which is decades later in evolution and completely different to the Dreadnought.

That also happens to G1 cartoon, even much worse (a gun turns into Megatron which is as big as a truck Prime!), and actually I still love playing with Mp36 and TE-01 very much.
Although I do hope they made Jetfire from an old plane, this is decent imo.

It's def a Dreadnought though. However, I am willing to submit if it's actually a Pre-Dreadnought. It just doesn't give off that impression to me.
The sheer scale of it alone, just doesn't say Pre-Dreadnought. But again it's possible. :)

However, It's def not the USS Maine: USS Maine (1889) - Wikipedia :lol
