I wouldn't say that it makes sense for the movies either tbh. There's a lot of empty space in the vehicles, but it doesn't make sense for them to shrink that much. The Bayverse was better in this regard.

Mechanical detail =/= Trash

To me the mechanical details make them feel so much more alive. Sure the Knightformers also have some mechanical details, but it just came across as incredibly static compared the the Bay designs.

The sound design was absolutely phenomenal. I'd say it's on the same level as the visuals. I liked how they all had unique sounds while transforming, moving or firing their weapons.

I don't think he's more competent, it's more that Bay has his own specific style that is somewhat chaotic.

You're really underestimating how powerful our military equipment is.

 

You're basically arguing that you aren't seeing what you like to see, or that it isn't your interpretation of something we as a species have never seen (a real alien robot), which I can't argue against, but there's absolutely no logic in what you're saying so I'm just gonna move on.

Totally! I feel like Transformers is something that you could even listen to and it would stir your imagination.

I think he definitely is more competent. The purpose of a film is generally to tell a story, and with Bay the story is often confusing, contradictory, and takes several viewings to parse out. I'm saying this as a fan, BTW: he's just not good at telling a story. He's good at lots of other things, but not that.

 

Except I did say there are bound to 100s if body types. Meaning, I would see stuff I wouldn't like. Also, how am I not using logic, I literally based my post on the definition of alien.
