Eltherin, that paint job you've done really makes me want to buy another hegemon and take my own brushes to it. That looks amazing.

Damn... looks so nice. Too bad the lower legs just kills it for me... they just look so out-of-place.

I keep seeing your photos and thinking it's the real thing, then when I go to order Hegemon I get reminded that he's not painted with the gorgeous silver that yours is but just dull, gray plastic. If only I had painting skills!

Try using Sharpie Paint pens, they are a oil based paint and do not rub off or chip when you transform your toy. The great thing about the pens is you can take your time with detail and they have different tips to make it easy.

Also, you can use Lacquer paints, very strong paint.

I'm well aware of the wide variety of paints that exist, but it's the skill I lack - and believe me I've tried.
The best paints and the best brushes do little good in the hands of an ogre. :)

If they still use the same plastic as the original hegemon I'm out. It looks cheap and fragile not to mention the plastic cellulite is horrible. How can this be acceptable for 100 buck figure is mind boggling.

I would like to chrome one like G1 Meg. was, just the parts that were on him, and leave the rest the silver gray plastic.

I keep looking at the gray plastic on Hegemon and it looks like Megaplex , the Japan only release with the blue plastic instead of red on the USA release. He needs a silver paint where he would be chrome. Reprolabels tried to do this with their stickers, but could not cover all of what was needed. Besides, I hate to cover so much up with stickers that may peel down the road.

You gotta love reviews from people who don't even own the stuff they're trying to review...

    He does own it.

And also T4, it will still be the same swirly grey plastic on the "new" version coming out, you can see it in all their new pics they posted a few pages back.

Doesn't sound like it then, because that plastic is not cheap and fragile. Unless he transforms his toys with hammers?

Would a sharpie on a toy such as this even look good?

I personally don't think so, it might look gloppy and thick in most spots. I use Gundam Markers only for small tiny details.

But hey, for those who can't paint, I take affordable commissions :)
