i dont know what it is yet, but first impressions are kinda meh? Maybe its the proportions, the head sculpts, the panelling, the non-toonish accuracy? Not sure exactly. I dont personally own MT Meteor and the rest of their seeker line, but I get more warm fuzzies looking at them then I do at these.

Probably because these aren't aiming to be toon accurate at all.

Its a decent attempt. If nothing else, the price will be more favorable to customers than TT 2.0 versions. Not sure I like those chest fans. Also they really need to include short missiles for alt mode. Full length null rays as the only "missile" option is unacceptable.

ya thats one aspect and im ok with that because thats what theyre going for, I have the TW coneheads and do like them even though they arent toon accurate (though they are posted for sale right now lol). I'm just saying these dont wow me, and its not any one thing..... thats all.

They definitely seem like they'd blend better with the earlier MP style. I think the biggest letdown in the alt mode is that stepped nosecone.

I want to customize an Emperor Starscream (for the 10 seconds that he held the title). I always wanted a proper representation of that character because he looked more intimidating (before he became a pile of ashes).

Quite like them, could use a few more paint apps to finish them off though. Feels like they could use them.

At least it is something with a specific intent instead of an oversight like some figures problems are. They did it to facilitate the entire nose fitting into the robot torso instead of hanging off the back (MT) or having a giant bump on the back to hide it hanging off the back (MP-52, MP-11 is kind of a mix of both).

They're nice. Just not loving the big blocky look of the air intakes on the shoulders. :/

If Zeta ever releases their Starscream, I'm buying it -- and ONLY Starscream -- specifically to represent that scene.

Well, I'm buying all three... was hoping to not want to. This mould pisses me off but, they look good on the shelf.

I have their coneheads, and they are actually HUGE improvements over the TT official ones (honestly the official MP seekers were always kinda crap), both in materials, articulation, solidity. Of course with the new MP version of the Takara seekers those are very late in the market, but i say if someone does not like the extreme toon look, and find a more mechanical and realistic approach (or even a more toy look) these should be great .
If we had those years ago, when the UT coneheads were released, they would have been awesome.

Too late. There was a time I had their coneheads and was holding out for the original trio since i wanted seekers (and decepticons in general) that were bigger than everybody else was making.

Also all 3 coneheads I have are broken, so the mold has kinda lost its appeal for me.

My only problem is the fins by the feet, I wish there was an option to make them fold away.

This might result in me finally owning a Thundercracker and Skywarp. I have Neptune (Ramjet) from this series, and I really like it. It’s very solid and a far better mold than MP-11. I personally dislike cartoon accuracy, so these suit me fine— I have zero interest in MP-52. I only wish this Thundercracker was dark blue like the original.

I honestly don’t see the appeal of these. The shoulder vents are a neat trick, but the proportions are fairly hideous with the long calves, short thighs, and super stretched torso.

The fact that the leg stabilizers aren’t addressed in the transformation seems like a real miss. I also don’t like that the nullrays cant swivel with the arms and the wings sit up high over the shoulders.

The terrible jet nose cone is a deal breaker as well.

Im happy for those who want these, but Im not impressed.
