I didn't. Now I want to know why, though. Maybe this is the wrong forum for this, but what is the appeal of clear Devastator, much less clear anything else (save for maybe Mirage or something)? Is it just the cool factor?

 

WTF? Are clear variants a thing?

 

I've never understood the appeal either. Good for those that want it, but I'd rather see a shattered glass repaint or even diaclone colors before this. Not to mention clear plastic always seems more prone to breakage.

I will add though, that clear does look pretty damn cool under the right lighting, but definitely not $600 cool.

 

I be the first one to say I like it alot. Its more for display than anything else.

 

Can't wait for it to break in my hands.

 

The only time I'm interested in translucent versions is when there is a precedent for the character to have that quality, such as Mirage or Ghost Starscream.

I think there's a misunderstanding about clear plastic. Before in the past clear plastic did have an issue over time being more "brittle" because of how the bonding process but nowadays technology has changed and the chemicals involved is different in the production. If they don't skimp out then clear plastic is just as durable as any coloured type.

 

Toyworlds tolerances and clear plastic, no thanks.

If you drop this thing off a shelf then you'll probably get your second wish.

 

I love the translucent look to these figures. I have several and they lust look unworldly in my eyes.

You can call him Ghost Devastator.

Instead of releasing this they should do a 2 pack of a new Hook and a Prowl that can be used to make the Prowl/Devy from the comics. You'd already have a built in market for everyone who already owns Constructor.
