Yeah it's either spend around $100 to fix my yellow Constructor, or use that $100 towards the green set. I'm swaying more in favor of buying the green and then try selling off the individual non-broken yellow bots.

This is true. The yellow version is not that sought after, unfortunately. Good luck

Yep. Good call. The new X is much better than the yellow imho.

So, wracking my brain trying to figure out if I should go with the “perfect edition” that’s available at TFSource or wait and see if a new more G1 toy-esque version is released (re-released)? Or is this the most toy version available? I’m so confused!?!

Im late (VERY) to the Constructor party and it seems like there’s like 72 versions of him...I was holding out to see if FT ever did a Devy...but the way they’re pricing stuff now I really don’t want to drop a possible $1000+ on a TF.

I think TW is the way to go...but which one?!?o_O

Perfect edition is the more toony version. You want the v2. Or the v1, and then it's whether you want green thighs or not. Or a toon head. Both of those are standard on the v2.

Edit: but if you happen to grab a v1 with green thighs and don't want the thighs, I'll buy them off you!

So is there anything to do about Hook's (allocator's) arms, or are they just floppy, due to the weird sliding joint?

Does anyone have tips on how to unscrew either of the heads? I can't seem to get these screws to move at all (except for 1 or 2) and thus can't install batteries or change the face plates. I'm worried I'm unthreading the screws, but I'm using a variety of screwdrivers to no avail. They're stuck tight! I've never had these issues with other figures before.

Not sure, but they may be JIS. Be careful not to strip the heads.

That sounds bad. I never had a problem. Hopefully some moron at the factory did not put them on so damn tight that he ruined the threading. Good luck. I use a small tip screwdriver and have never had any issues.

I can’t recall for certain, but I thought there was something about taking the base plate apart too? Maybe I’m confusing that with modding something with jreams magic parts though. Sorry hope you can sort it out without too much trouble

Yeah, I had to use these JIS ones for some of the screws.

Thanks everyone. Does anyone happen to have an OX head (non-G1) they wouldn’t mind selling? I think my screws are completely unthreaded. :/

Does anyone know if the v2 (G1 style) screaming face fit on the Ox v1 head?

So here is a funny story. I had one and sold it and actually made a couple of bucks and I did regret it. So I got another and I’m keeping it this time. It’s not the ideal date green and if I get a wild hair up my hiny I might spray some dark green in some areas and touch up with some brown. Maybe. Or I’ll just leave it as is. And I ended up keeping my cell shade as well. I did not give either a chance to sit on display and get the full affect and I’m glad I have both. They make good compliments to my X and battle damaged.

Good luck in your decision to get one.

Negative. I tried and you have to do some major modification to make it look decent . Just will not work. I dropped the idea
