So what are the exact changes here? Windows, chromed purple mixer, purplish hands, shield and joints and the green is more....yellowy?

 

The drills and thigh pieces (the non-green ones) seem to have a more metallic (but not chrome) tint. I'm not sure about the green color, lighting here can be crucial.

 

  Still dont know how I should feel about this. But weird (current status) is not exactly good right?

EDIT: I suppose its too early to ask about QC issues?

 

Well I am gonna have to compare the finish on mine to see if the green plastic actually had any changes to it. It looks the same to me, but in person is the only real way to tell. It's on the way from Showz.

For a very expensive figure you think they would have done a lot more. Very goofy of TW, but that is TW for you.

 

What are we looking at here? I see chromed pistons. Are you highlighting the changes in this version?

 

Yeah, and that the colors appear inconsistent from photo to photo. In the ones you're referring to, the purples seem much closer in tone.

 

I was expecting the whole thing to be metallic like the x versions of fans toys. Damn I might have to forfeit my preorder. Just having that purple barrel all shiny makes me want to call it disco devy. Devy looks like he got ready but is banking on his barrel to get him some ladies. I think I’m good with gunner. Going to either get Jinbao devy or wait for FansToys to get my G1 fix. Sigh....

 

Is the purple the same as the regular TW Dev?

 

It appears to be a lighter purple closer to the G1 toy. At least that is my impression.

 

Yeah, although I like it, the people expecting more chrome have a right to feel unfairly treated. The promo pic looked as if all the purple parts of Constructor would be chromed. I'm not surprised in the least by people canceling their preorders.

 

Talk about lame... The chromed purple didnt make a ton of sense to me, honestly...but to have only the barrel chromed makes zero sense. I'd much prefer no chrome and have it uniformly match. Glad I had no intention of getting it either way, but I would be extremely disappointed right now if this had been a planned purchase.

 

I've been looking at Baidu and using google translate, which is less than ideal, but there is an issue with Bonecrusher - his arms are too stiff and he won't transform into bot mode. Hard to say whether this is a YMMV situation or a more widespread issue. If I have this problem it will be a dealbreaker for me, as I want to display them in bot mode. However, so far I'm waiting how it will play out.

EDIT: There also was an issue with the waist swivel, but I think the owner fixed that.

EDIT 2: I'm dumb. The translation has to be off, it may be about something else, because the user posted a pic of them in botmode yesterday.

 

I was looking forward to all the purple being chrome like in the promo pic. But only the barrel being chrome?

 

I just cancelled my preorder for this one. So disappointing that the promo pics are almost nothing like the actual product.

 

What were the screwdrivers for if I may ask?

This fact that only 1 part is purple chrome really puts in doubt my desire to order this as my MP Devy. I was looking forward to the extra chrome as it would be countered on my shelf by the FT Dino's who bring a decent amount of shine to the shelf as it.

 

From my eyes and judging from the posted pics, it looks like they 'deluted' (for a lack of better word) the green with a yellowish tint. Akin to some episodes of the Sunbow....Or at least thats what I see....IDK if it is a thing or not.

That promo pic had the very green having a metallic sheen.To be honest thats my major disappointment.

If we start with "The owner fixed that" its not looking good.....

 

Is there any idea when the orange set comes out, TFS has April and TCP just says 2018?
