Wooont whaaa...chrome barrel only

 

A change in packaging. No longer shipped in bot mode and 2 foam trays one on top of another. To me it would make QC checking even more important as going straight to combined mode you'd miss transforming these figures and discoveirng any faults.

In this shot the metallic looks to be more 'purpley' than the shot above and matches closer to the other purples, albeit the only visible shiny metallic.

 

that promo picture right there has all the purple parts the same metallic sheen as the mixer. LOL what a craptacular turns of events I would feel sooooooo cheated

 

I'm wondering if the green is the same, or is it brighter, like the purple...

I can't see metallic paint at all. I see vac metal purple barrel and some chrome bits. Something like SDCC Titan Devy.

 

Well damn. Make that two shit shows in a row. First, the letdown with hoodlum. And now this mess with something that costs a F'N arm and a leg and the improvements are minimal at best. I need to step off of preorders because the disappointment is just too much. I would rather spend a few more bucks and be happy than try to save a few bucks and be ticked off when finally receiving the final product. TW you suck ass for building up a lot of hype for this figure. I wish I would have waited.

 

I passed on two chances to pick up a V2 at a decent price as I figured the chrome version would be worth it. Looking at these pics it seems like the single chrome barrel is out of place if the rest of the purple doesn't match. I regret paying off my preorder at showz now.

This will be my first and only Toyworld purchase.

 

It definitely looks like a lighter green color than the other versions. Dare I say more “toon” green. The Purple looks brighter too.

I like the chrome, especially on the rims/wheels. But the red transparent parts kill it. They should have been purple transparent. Where does the red come from, inspiration wise?

 

Oh man. I had been looking at this and trying to decide whether or not I should finally bite the bullet and pick up Constructor. I think I'll pass....

I'm still interesting in buying the gray barrel, if anyone getting this is willing to sell it.

 

I've had this preordered and really want an MP Dev, but that doesn't look like the promo pics at all. Only the barrel is shiny? WTF. Looks like I may cancel.

 

Sigh. That's a huge disappointment. Really was hoping they'd go all out and I could make it a real centerpiece.

Looks like I wait for FT Devy or a cheaper v2 as that seems to be QC lottery.

 

The original testshots had that. It kinda reminds me of some stickers on the G1 toys, which had bits of red in them, but not like this. Still, I like it, but I actually didn't want too much chrome on it owing to its tendency of wearing off. If somebody did want this, then I understand that they may be angry with this. I keep wondering why they didn't post shots of the toy prior to release. I think they must have had issue with the chrome and did a bait and switch thing.

 

It's almost like, 'why bother', if the barrel is the only metallic purple on the bots. Better to make all the purple match.

Yeah...thats not like the test shot at all....I dont find it bad per se....but....

One can raise a case of fraud really.I mean it was promised to be metalic, not with a single metalic part and even had a photo of it....I will hold judgement for now and see what the QC will be.

I am kinda feeling the same. This guy and double evil broke my 'no preorders policy'.

 

I never was enthused with the red windows and red parts and now only the barrel is chromed. I just cancelled my preorder. Thanks for saving me $500.00.
