Why is this a confusing? To get a refund whether you buy something in store or online you have to return the product. The only difference is if you order online, if the product has been shipped the buyer has to wait to receive it to then turn around and return it for the refund. The only exception to this would be if the order has not been shipped you cancel the order and they simply refund you. But, even then, some stores won't allow you to cancel once it has been processed and is ready to ship, in which case you then have to wait to receive the item and return it for a refund.
