Just as I thought because I cant really find any clip or glue mark under the drum. May I know how you apply the plastic cement to get the problem solved? Wondering if applying superglue on the pin and stick it into the drum will get the problem solved or not?

I pretty much took everything apart. I took out the mixing drum and diassembled it. That's how I found out the gearing mechanism that poweres the gimmick. You have to carefully diassmble the gearing mechanism. I suggest taking photos so you remember the gearing order but its not as hard as it looks and having a good set of Jewel's or Watchmakers flathead screw drivers. The bar goes through a hole on one side of the gearing mechanism so you know which is the damaged gear. You're looking for this gear.

    Transformers (25).jpg

I went through a couple of these but I got it to work by reinforcing that area where you see the crack with I think is Gorilla Glue. You also have to make sure you don't go overboard cause it might jam the mechanism when it operates. It's a pretty good gimmick if the plastic they used wasn't soft and didn't use a pin system to attach them together.

Avoid the X version (TW-C07X) at all cost, that's the purchase I regretted the most in my life. The plastic is so brittle that many places would break easily even without much force. And you can also see the sign of mold degradation is everywhere on the figure too, resulting a worst transforming experience and even affect the posing for a bit. If you happen to own a X version, I would strongly suggest just combine it into the combine mode right away and don't touch it anymore.

The old green/weathered (TW-C07G), seems better in their plastic than X-version, I guess probably Toyworld use a slightly better material considering they are trying to paint on it and would need harder material to handle those tighter joints after paints. The paints are really gorgeous, words are hard to describe their beauty, a stunning show piece indeed! Things I hate is their redesigned tracks for the bulldozer and crane, they fall off too easily!!! Old green also cannot transform because the paint is too thick already, I don't want to risk breaking it by imposing too excessive force for the transformation.

Many of you said green v2 (or TW-C07 gift box set version) has the best material overall and that's so true after I bought it eventually and play with it. v2 has the best built materials compared to the X version, old green, and V1 that I had owned. The v2 plastic material is solid like rock, to a point that you can swell your fingers from playing it, but I like it a lot, it means great material that I can play with totally no worries. The v2 also doesn't see any sign of mold degradation (probably due to very early version of this devastator) and they also fixed quite a bit of issues from V1, resulting the best overall transformation experience. The only problem I have with v1 & v2 is the mixer barrel that loses its auto-turning mechanics very easily, not much problem with old green version's new designed mixer barrel apparently but my X version mixer barrel broke once and I had gotten a replacement and I didn't want to play with it anymore.

Overall, I love v2 the most, v1 comes second. Old green is great show piece, no regret purchasing it too. Just share my experience after obsessed with Toyworld Devastator for a while.

Well said man!! I will say that my X has held up and IMHO, there must have been some supplier issues with the plastic used. I think as time went on the quality of the later X sets made was just pure F'n garbage compared to the earlier ones released. At least that is what it seems like. Enjoy your weathered version!! I like mine as well!! :D :rock

    Thank you for your insight.

I convinced myself that buying the separate team members/ figures would be preferable than the actual full sets released because packaging on the latter re-issues chose plastic clamshells over foam inserts although I’m not sure if that has been of all orders received recently. The foam inserts seem to yield better results than plastic clamshells when orders are in transit in terms of less movement, damage/broken parts. I’ve stuck with the default TW-C07 (I thinks v2) despite liking many of the other sets.

Sadly the route I’ve gone and being late to the party, I’m still trying to get my hands on TW-C01 (bulldozer), C02 (unearth) and C06 (concrete). I don’t have the skills to copy somebody who did a hybrid of Jinbao OSKO Grav Builder with Toyworld’s Constructor. They integrated the TW Pants with the Jinbao set.

You are right, plastic clamshells does make figure broken even more due to excessive shakiness during transport, foam inserts are so much more secure.

What you are searching is actually V1 and they are really hard to come by individually these days especially the 3 you are looking for. But if you search hard enough, probably you could still find someone selling 6 box sets together of v1 though. For your info, V2 also comes with form inserts.

Even though V1 has slightly softer plastic than V2 and some areas of V1 are prone to break if you are not careful enough during transformation (these prone to break areas have been fixed in V2), V1's material is still day and night better than the brittleness of X version. There is one good point about V1 compared to V2 though, that it has slightly better paint job in my observation.

Thought I'd share some work I'm doing on alternate faces for Constructor. One of them has eyes you can switch out toy vs. toon. I just have some vinyl slapped on there to show the concept. In terms of faces there's a goofy one in there for good measure, and some more with a bit more detail...overall the goal is to get something that works with the reasonable level of detailing this figure has. (BTW far right is the original sculpt I did some time ago)

Also working on a process I call "uber finishing", with the ultimate goal of getting the smoothest possible look out of a 3D print. Sounds jazzy but it's really just heavy, heavy labour, lots of coats of primer, etc.

It doesn't affect the transformation and also the look of the figure though, so I can look past it. When I have the time, I will try to repair it.

Check the KO OS GT GRAVITY BUILDER (DEVASTATOR) thread. Its a seller on taobao called LIKEToy. Its not actually zeta/tw pants but rather than a copy. They made a computron and abominus that looks similar as if zeta made it. Super sick but they are all 3d printed.

Just an idea. For those that have broken arm bots (unearth and bulldozer) for Constructor, I’ve seen this on Taobao which could be a solution. You can purchase adaptors that connect on to Jinbao OSKO Grav Builder equivalent arm limb bots to connect to Burden/Allocater.

I’m looking to see if you have broken leg limb bots (Concrete and shovel) for your constructor whether they have tweaked the set below to accommodate connecting Burden/Allocater to it, so you can connect Jinbao OSKO leg limb bots. Basically have Jinbao leg limb bots connecting into that pantsforming part and Burden/Allocater along with Unearth and Bulldozer from the waist up.

I know these solutions are not ideal but at least you get the opportunity to still keep/use your set. Admittedly you would have to purchase the Jinbao figures. Given that Toyworld do not appear to be supportive in replacing all these brand new broken figures, this may be the way to go.

I’ve ordered the set above and the shoe/slipper one below:

To put into context, I have the Jinbao OSKO Grav Builder that I want to have the posability of constructor and the QC/durable plastic build of the Jinbao set.

I really wanted a full Constructor. I still only have 3 components of the set. Taobao seem to have a lot of TW Constructor stuff on there. That might be the place for me to finish constructor in the future. If my first orders through a Taobao agent are successsful I will let you know and perhaps you can peruse Taobao to find replacements for your broken figures using the same agent.

Unscrew it to see if I can fix it myself, and the posts are crumbling away.

    Thank you!

    Edit:
That or I could just seal him in Expoxy Resin and call it a day at this point. Who knows what other parts will break down the line.

Exact same thing just happened to me a week or so ago. On the X version as well. Adjusted it slightly since it was leaning a bit and picked it up and the rear end/hips just fell off! Really scratching my head wondering how all those pegs just broke without any real tension. Does this happen a lot on this set? Even with the other versions? Cool that there is a separate hip piece available!
