I'm looking for a Toyworld Mixmaster, preferably from the TW-C07P version, but other green ones are OK. Can be damaged, apart from the thighs.

Man, that Constructor you bought is the gift that keeps on giving. You have made me appreciate my old green v2 Constructor even more, beyond having a few tight ratchets, I have never any issues with him. Toyworld really wrecked the mold with so many reissues.

Dang, looks like I dodged a bullet by going for OS Gravity Builder for $150. Had no problems with him.

I can't recall, the neck is screwed into place?

If so, the threads may be stripped. Best option, fill the hole with epoxy drill an undersized hole and re-thread it with the screw.

I still have to fix my Burden and it's busted screw posts in his legs but i'm so annoyed by it all i've never gone back to try again. Thankfully his head is still attached. :redface2:

Is there any way to tell which version usually has the least qc issues? Any word on that TW-C07G weathered version? Does a higher price mean a better quality there? :lol

Aside from reassembling the hips on a few figures, I haven't had QC issues in regard to breaking parts on any of my sets.

I have the original green, yellow, black and orange sets.

Hi, long time member, rare poster, on account of being international and spending a lot of time on the local board, and being a dad etc etc. Mostly just lazy.

I recently bought the 'perfect edition' of Toywold Constructor, the TW-C07X. It arrived in really bad condition. One of longhauls legs has exploded, one of Mixmasters arms has exploded, one of Hooks legs has exploded, One of Scavengers shoulders has a crack in it and One of Scrappers knees is blowing out making the leg not close up properly, there are other issues but these are the worst. In all the exploded cases the screw posts have separated from the parent part. Only one of the 6 figures is in good shape.

I have other toyworld figures and I rate them highly, I really wasn't expecting this sort of issue with quality on something so expensive, 5 releases in to a line that has been advertised as having design improvements.

The seller (from Hong Kong) has had no luck with toyworld and he's asked if I am able to fix the damage with an offer of a couple hundred bucks refund. I'm handy, I might be able to fix it, once I can figure out which spring goes in which ratchet joint, since they're all slightly different and currently mixed up (yea I know rookie error). I have some good glue but I'm expecting the failure to occur again as I'm pretty sure the springs in the ratchet joints are just too strong. I might be able to trim and re-shape them but I'm not about to put money on that. The seller is understandably trying to avoid cannibalising another $500 set of figures.

I'm wondering if anyone familiar with this issue is aware of the specifications of the springs, I could then order something a bit softer, for all the joints. I'd ask Toyworld but I get the impression they don't really care, and tend to not be contactable.
    • Is there a common fix for these issues?
    • Does anyone have a process for reducing the K in springs this small and strong. If I cut too much out of them they won't do anything.
    • Is there a type of glue that people have used that works best with the type of plastic this is made from?
I've asked in Australia and was sent to this thread, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers
    UltraMarginal

It's all the same green. In fact, if you strip the paint they're green underneath (except the v1).

Toyworld haven't re-released the green thighs set though, although BBTS have had it listed for preorder for a couple of years...

I wonder if Toyworld will ever re-release the original green version???

I missed out on the party, and all there is are second-hand units on eBay costing an arm and a leg, no pun intended. LOL

Hi, just wondering if you have done any of the fixes you described here and if you have, successfully, can you please specify the diameter and length of screw you used. ?
