So I will say this. It looks like the QC issues are with the last X version. The weathered and cell while not fault free, definitely did not have the significant amount of issues like the so called perfect edition. I would venture to say that if anyone really wants one they should aim their sites on either of the variants. Yea, it’s not the room accurate version, but it’s the best option for now. Good luck to anyone still wanting one.

Dude, keeping my fingers crossed for you that he was made prior to TW deciding to screw their buyers by using inferior plastic! Nice!!

yeah he's selling his whole collection due to personal issues so I am sure he has a lot on his mind.

Anyone know how to get the faceplate off of the G1 head, I opened it up with a screw driver but I can't seem to get the visor or mouth off.

Mouth pops off the front. It's pegged in. Use a spudger tool. The visor comes out from the inside. Have fun.

Yea, the Ox head I believe is what that is called is well....meh. LOFL. Not my first choice. I like the toon sculpt face. I wish that TW had not been so cheap and at least provided the same type of swivel base with greater head tilt for the toon square head.

I got my perfect edition Jan 2020 from Showz and it was still in the foam packing. It's pretty good, I'm sure if I looked closely I'd find problems but it came together and holds well enough. There was 2 batches a couple months apart in 2020 and the first one had foam and the second one was clamshells. I think it's only the very last batch with the clamshells that have it the worst. I'd say if you could find one with foam packing it might be worth picking up, or at least less risky.

I am so happy I got him, hoping he stays together a year from now. 4000040B-D3B4-4D5D-B89F-CEA5B81320A8.jpeg 0A0B5A63-D2A3-4D9E-A573-22C400C71180.jpeg E9BCC09B-AEC8-437F-A2E5-3FDF8B8EA1DB.jpeg A6319753-DDAC-400D-9736-2F9ABC692481.jpeg

After factoring in every upcoming reissuing and new release that I currently have pre-ordered, this character will end up being the one hole in my collection from S1-TFTM (not counting toon-only characters, like the female autobots, who haven't had any MP support, though I really want them too).

Sucks man. Why can't they just reissue this guy with good materials, a good price, and a good toon style paint scheme? It's like I'm so close and yet so far.

I felt the same way when I got mine. I was completely unprepared for how fucking amazing he is in hand, considering all my pre-existing combiners were the smaller scale. Now I'm spoiled :D
