Even if you didn't change the size of the head changing it would go along way (Sorry Psychoshi, borrowed your edit to show what I meant) Though the larger head and lack of details on the shoulder wings looks better.
It's kind of scary to be hoping that FT can do a better head then someone. Have you seen the new Tesla face? Shows how bad this is!! Yeah those changes and the colour make this work. A better Arcee accurate head and remove the unnecessary detailing from the shoulder pack (which is the cars underside anyways!!) is almost enough. The other changes don't make that much of a difference for me. Except proper heel Spurs. Those are essential, especially for a figure with such a big backpack Size is a mystery. TW scale is over large, but then the hands on this show no signs of articulation which is normally a sign of smaller figures. It's confusing.
Opens thread... Nope. Lol! Alt mode is all kinds of wrong, which maybe wouldn't be quite so bad if it had a perfect bot mode - shame it doesn't. Totally. Even at the smaller scale Delicate Warrior blows this out of the water. Yep, I'd be interested to see some MP Arcee wars
Yep mod it a little and it's an amazing figure, just too small for MP My favorite though is Legends Arcee I've been hoping some one would upsize it since it came out.
That's actually a better alt mode than even DW I think, and although I prefer DW's bot form I'd be perfectly happy to see an upscale of this standing next to MP-28!
Looks a damn lot better and looks great in colour too! But for me the worst aspects of this design remain. The midriff and crotch look awful so rounded and human - I'd like them more angular like the animation model... Also the front wheels should be more concealed inside the fenders - not stuck on the outside like a couple of frisbees. Getting those two areas on-model, along with your head fix would go a long way, imho.
oh you will the war, don't you worry. Begun WILL the Arcee Wars. And I am excited to see / buy them!!! If the others options blow this one out of the water and based on price, I may skip this one and just got for the others...
Yeah I mean. When the hell is this going to come? Did no one notice the huge popularity with the IDW fembots from MMC? Why the hell has no company done even a limited run or something? Arcee is iconic. If someone made a very good MP representation she would sell out, I'm sure of it. It'd be another Quakewave all over again with people "demanding" a reissue. I do not want teenage mutant ninja turtle/pre-surgery Renée Zellweger-face Arcee upscald either. Cool for those who liked that design, but I hated it. Give me as close as animation accurate as possible with two faces/heads. One super accurate, and another more "modernized" version would be nice (aka not 1980's female face/style - something along the lines of the beautiful IDW one would be nice).
Needs more curvy, more booty, and an actual tail end for the car. I love the Ox designs, but this just doesn't quite nail it for me.
This is Toyworld. A) They are perfectly capable of good headsculpts. Their recent Constructicons were pretty darn G1. B) They listen to feedback. I'm sure the head will be adjusted as feedback rolls in. C) Let's see her standing next to some other figures. There seems to be some strong opinions on movie figure heights. I personally love the UT Buzzer scale height, and despise the MP Hot Rod size. But I know plenty of people are 180 from that. So no matter what, this Arcee won't work for all of us. Hopefully another is in the pipeline somewhere so we all get what we came for!
