As we all know, the Autobots traveled to Earth in their shuttle and crash landed into a volcano, where they ultimately set up shop at. Many an episode, the Autobots would set forth from their ship to deal with the Decepticons. I have been pondering this a long while: how many toys are there that can represent such a thing? I am not referring to something that specifically resembles the Autobot shuttle — even though that would count — but toys that can transform into something that can reasonably transport a large crew across space and likewise house them as a base of operations when they land, or models and play sets that represent said type of vehicle. I do not mean toys that can actually house other toys, please be aware, as those are hard to come by. Simply put, how many toys are there that are — or can transform into —something that can be passed off as a transport from Cybertron that once landed could work as a base? What are these toys Adding to this as a separate category ("Just base"), which toys have a passable base mode and what are they?
Armada Tidal Wave, no doubt. Especially if you've played the PS2 game so you have a first-hand idea of how his interior works. As far as base modes go, G1 Fort Max is probably still the best.
