Holy hell...super-white Jetfire with the actual gun clip. All that stuff looks great. Most of my later G1 stuff survived without many issues...can’t say as much for the ‘84 and ‘85 toys.

He's not flawlessly white - if you look closely you can see that he's taken on a beige hue with patches of the original white showing where the wing roots were covered by fuselage in the retracted position or where decals have been removed ;)

    Generations Straxus
Dear lord, has he seen a lot. At some point when I got out of Transformers years ago, he was just cast aside and put into a storage bin with all surviving figures from the "Great Purge of 2009", my PCCs, and a Cybertronian Bumblebee from Generations.

During that time in the bin, he lost both of his arms, his weapon, the treads that his arms fit into, and eventually his head.

I recovered him ca. late 2017-ish, and gradually found his parts. but he's still missing one of his arms.

Bumblebee still has most of his pieces, and I just found his missing foot not too long ago, but I've yet to locate his blaster.

Those who were purged: '07 Payload, FAB (Fast Action Battlers) '07 Optimus, 2007 Deluxe Classic Camaro Bumblebee, '07 Deluxe Barricade, and Universe 2.0 Tankor/Octane. (this excludes a bunch McDonald's and BK toys that were from the movie and Animated)

Those who survived: '07 Deluxe Arcee, FAB Starscream

Now, if we really want to talk about a figure who barely survived, its Heatseeker from GoBots.

Heatseeker was a handed down to me from my dad, and it was his brother's toy. My dad told me it was Starscream. (My dad had an Optimus but it got thrown out by his mom years ago)

When I got Heatseeker, he was in a really, really bad shape. His tail was loose, and one part broke off by accident. His cockpit was loose and was missing a chunk, his arms were loose, his wings didn't lock/clip anymore, and his metal parts (landing gear, missiles, and rear thruster) showed extreme paint chipping.

I don't really transform Heatseeker anymore due to his state, but I intend to possibly acquire a second Heatseeker for parts.

Great stories...especially about Heatseeker...sounds like he’s survived multiple generations now. Any pics of him you could share?

Not so much “barely survived”, but the wiki lists Cybertron Repugnus as being a nasty victim of Gold Plastic Syndrome.

I’ve had mine since 2007 and while the Autobot symbol rubbed off long ago (fixed with a Reprolabel) none of his plastic has cracked in the slightest. Am I just lucky?

Lol...now that you’ve said it, he’ll probably crumble to dust! (Hope not!)

    *furiously knocks on wood*
Fun fact I lost his right arm for a few years and during that time used his tail as a replacement.

I have an old Gobot I got from my Dad as well. I have Wrong Way. He's in decent shape, just some loose joints, stickerwear, and no rotor.

Ah, if we're throwing Gobots (or Robo Machines, as I'm old enough to recall them being known as) into the thread as well...

My original Ratchet is in better shape overall than that (IMO) but one of the rear treads broke off from the "sled" almost immediately. But not so immediately I could return it.:cry

I am amazed those rear treads have held on mine. That toy was the only TF I owned until getting Twin Twist and the Insecticons sometime in the following year. So, he saw a lot of action. I got a decent 1985 Ironhide at a convention last year, and was reminded of how tight everything is supposed to be...

The aforementioned Wrong Way. Honestly, the Gobots have some pretty sweet alt modes.

All things considered, he looks pretty good still! And I dig GoBots for their alt modes. If the transformations and bot modes were a bit more complex and less derpy, they might have held on longer. But then, they wouldn’t be GoBots.

I received G1 Optimus for Christmas one year. That was the best condition it has ever been in under my care, while it sat within that bag.

    KIMG1352.JPG

I apologise for the crap photo quality, but right now things are a bit messy and my room has crap lighting. I mostly ignored the trailer but brought Roller out a couple times. Optimus himself seemed to love ramming into 'Cons. At some point, he forwent his hands. The truck mode appealed to me most. I thought the robot looked weird (lol.) Broken smokestack, missing hands, missing gun, chipped paint and peeled stickers. Good times.

I have a Powermaster Prime too (also a Christmas present) which I took better care of because there was less to lose. I gave away Hi-Q after losing at a Pokémon card battle. I didn't know how to play and still don't. Probably not my fondest memory. That would be trying to cram Hi-Q into Hound and Prowl. Powermaster Optimus is buried under stuff after a recent earthquake.

Looks better than my G1 OP! Mine was purchased 2nd hand off eBay in the late 90’s, though...part of a junker lot...I had to piece him together...and it shows.

Yeah, those are the biggest problems with Gobots.
Heatseeker isn't in too bad of shape, judging by your pictures.

    YouTube (Old):
Since im a 2000s kid i have alot of modern toys
Lets start off with movie toys
One of my favorite movie toys and character was sideswipe
Ive had almost every mold of that character, i still remember seeing him for the first time at walmart and my first reaction was woah they're making a transformers 2 thats awesome
I chose him over the 2 characters bumblebee and soundwave
I had the original 2009 figure and the hunt for the Decepticons repaint unfortunately none of them survived my "Frankenstein" phase when i would remove the screws on some figures and remove some parts and act like it was "battle damage"
    But 2 sideswipes did survived
The first figure was probably the best sideswipe figure before the studio series one
    That is sidearm sideswipe
20190726_222510.jpg the figure is in pretty good condition
It has paint chipping, a broken ruber piece in the crotch and slight crack line in one of the guns
20190726_222531.jpg 20190726_222536_HDR.jpg Still remember getting this guy
Me and my dad went to walmart to get my cousin a birthday gift and of course since i was a little kid o wanted a toy too so i went to the transformers section and saw this guy, chug kup, chug drift and battle blades bumblebee
I got this guy because i remember seeing the nest animated videos on YouTube and he looked amazing with his 2 guns
The other sideswipe i have is the human alliance sideswipe
    20190726_223517.jpg
I got this guy because i really wanted a human alliance figure and i saw jazz earlier in the week but someone grabbed him before the week ended :(
    This guy is okay
Every kid had a bumblebee and so did i
This is one of the bumblebees that survived
    20190726_223325.jpg 20190726_223301.jpg
I got the original 2007 concept camaro but shatter into alot of pieces
Got his cliffjumper repaint and that one survived until i took him to the beach and the sand messed up the gears and joints
Another line i really liked was the rotf nest line
    I have 2 that survived
Rachet was one of the figures i was really excited about since his hummer was different from his original 2 movies
    20190726_222557.jpg 20190726_222726.jpg
I had this figure as my ratchet until the studio series one came out and those became my ratchets
The other figure i have is probably the most popular nest figure and that is lockdown
    20190726_222740.jpg
I did some Frankenstein work on my lockdown unfortunately 20190726_222840.jpg 20190726_222815.jpg
But it really doesnt affect the figure that much the chest panel i had to super glue it
20190726_222745.jpg 20190726_222751.jpg This figure has some paint chipping too and a broken peg unfortunately
    20190726_222928.jpg
Looking back at this figure ill probably put him in my chug Decepticons display
    20190726_223107.jpg Their original nest rivalry
    Also had these ugly bastards
    20190726_223242.jpg 20190726_223545.jpg 20190726_223629.jpg

These are the only 2 mostly in tact figures that have survived all the purges. They're like the little rat things that survived the meteor impact 65 mil years ago.
