Merry Christmas everyone. Today a Toysrus ad came with my newspaper advertising tomorrow's store sales. Seeing a lot of Toysrus' shelves almost empty, I find it hard to believe they'll have anything for the day after x-mas sales. Do you think that Toysrus will restock for the after xmas sales tomorrow?

Seriously though, Boxing Day is one of the biggest selling days in the retail world, so they'll definitely be prepared. If not, just load up on rainchecks.

 

I could see them stocking stuff this week yet,but once January rolls around I wouldn't expect to find too much new stuff there.

 

do you guys think they will have any new kre-o sets! microchangers/cominers or beast hunters! or any of the new prime beast hunters line or even FOC line!

If I get up early enough, I'll probably get myself a PS3 controller for use with my Xoom. Playing GTA III and Minecraft isn't easy with a touchscreen tablet.

 

I was at TRU on Friday. It looked like it was hit by a hurricane. As such, I see no reason why to even go there for at least a month.

 

I wonder if they restock tomorrow or in jan? Ours was wiped out lol

 

Going to Toysrus today was a bad idea. They didn't restock.

 

As a former TRU manager I wish I had seen this thread sooner....unless something MAJOR has changed since I last worked there TRU wont see anything new until late Jan at the earliest. TRU does it's inventory in the next week or so and for tax reaons it's better to have as little inventory as possible...hence no trucks (it's also why those FE Voyagers never hit the states and were diverted to Canada last year)

 

Since I got my TRU Reward dollars today,I'm sure they won't have anything good when I go to use them this weekend.

I always end up using them on stuff I don't really want,but I have to use them before they expire.Which I'm sure is the exact reason they have it set up this way...to get rid of the leftover crap that nobody wanted at Christmas time.

 

Most Toy sections are a wasteland during the first few weeks of January. It's fine with me though as I'll have no free cash at all this month. In February once the shelves are restocked I plan to start collecting Transformers again for the first time since the Armada days. And pretty much any other robot toy I can get my dirty mitts on.

 

Thanks for the heads up. Thats interesting about the reason for FE voyagers not coming to the U.S. I wasn't expecting to find much when I went because Christmas is like the season finale for Toysrus and I was looking for TMNT toys (one of the hotter holiday products). I was surprised to see a lot of TFs still hanging around on xmas eve and the day after xmas. Luckly I found some tmnt figures today at walmart for $2 cheaper than TRU.

 

My TRU is usually a deserted ransacked mess for weeks after Christmas.

 

i when to mine local toys r us today, and it was completley restocked, suprisingly enough. it had the new beast hunters line, the stunticon botshots, and the generations "data disks". i'm suprised because my area generaly doesn't get the new stuff so soon.
