Regarding these TRU Express stores opening for the holidays, do they carry new Transformers? I assume they would. I have one opening a mile from my house so it would be great if they do actually carry TFs!

 

I'd like to know the same. There's one opening not too far from the TRU I'm a regular at so I'd be cool if this could be a temporary back-up incase I find nothing there.

 

i saw on a post over at toyark where they took a snapshot of the transformer section looked like the regular setup just less and the area was minimized .

 

Ah so basically they will carry them, just not as many as actual TRUs. Good to know.

 

I can't imagine that they won't carry TF's. This seems like a "lets go for it" move by TRU. Pretty bold move by them.

The one by me has the wave one genereations and HFTD movie stuff. No new Animated at least for now. They also have a decent selection of past Animated. I don't remember seeing any leader class items though.

 

Wow this is good news, just hope my mall here in OKC gets it.

 

NatureBoy said it all. They had a great stock of past TFA figures and Wave 1 of the newer stuff. Definitely check 'em out if you're close by to one.

 

Just to point it out, the article is from last year, so any TRU Express stores have probably all been opened by now.

I went to one sometime last year, and because I made the trip I was able to get Universe 2.0 Vector Prime.

 

I have a newly opened TRU express store near me, and they ONLY sell animated overstock and ROTF deluxes (pre HFTD) right now. Voyager Animated toys scan for $8 though, so I picked up a prime, grimlock, and Blitzwing for under $30.

 

Nice. I've been grabbing some Ani Voyagers at regular TRU's for $13 and thought that was a nice deal. I need to find one of these Express joints.

 

Actually, no. What TRU opened last year is going to seem like an appetizer in comparison to this year.

 

i checked one out and they has basically nothing, hardly any action figures at all.

 

I know the article was from last year, the point is, this is a brand new store, it didn't exist last year but it's not even open yet. So, that was why I asked.

Last time I went to the TRU Express in my mall, there was barely anything there. They had those universe 2.0 exclusives, some titanium exclusives from ROTF, G1 Reissue Perceptor and Insecticons, and those Optimus Prime costumes. They barely get anything new. I guess all locations are different.

 

I love TRU express. They have 33% off sale on TF's. I got 4 sets of Animated Ironhide and Rodimus from them.

 

I actually went to one that just opened up in my local mall last weekend. For the most part, they just had ROTF figures marked up to mall prices. However, they did have a few pegs full of TFA Cybertron Ratchets and Arcees. Ratchet is easy to find and clutters the shelves at my regular TRU, but that was the most Arcees I have seen in one TRU location by far. I already have her, but I seriously considered picking up another one for back up.

 

You have to be friggin' kidding me.  


I wish they'd start opening some TRU Express in Canada.
