Just because that TFCC had canceled their pre-orders for Arcee, does that mean that this action figure won't be arriving in retailers in the near future? What are the current status for all upcoming Animated figures after the entire Transformers: Animated series has finally ended? Will we see them all anytime soon?

I think there's going to be some answers at BotCon. At least I hope.

I want Rodimus. If they don't put Season 3 out, I swear I'll find the email addresses of each Hasbro employee (that can do something) and proceed to nag their ears off until they fork over the goods. I still ticked out the sudden murder of the best season and series of transformers since... well, 'it was the best thing in the invention of sliced bread'. grrr... (goes off to fence for a while... can't find partner)

ah, so you'll be harassing... absolutely nobody, then.

    sounds like a plan.

retailers are in charge. hasbro cant force retailers to take a product they dont want to buy. right now, retailers want movie stuff.

hasbro would LOVE to get these toys out, I'm sure. but they arent the ones that decide. walmart does.

true.... eh, i was upset when i typed that. sry, but i would like to see the Season 3 at retailers. At least at some point. The movie toys are pricey! Season 3 animated is going to be better (and cheaper), so i think parents will purchase more of them.

If the big box stores won't take them, there might be another chance with the online sellers. Assuming the stock has been produced and Wal-mart won't take them, Hasbro could, theoretically, offer them as exclusives through HTS or other vendors like BBTS.

If you want to write to anyone, write your favorite online TF seller and/or Hasbro and tell them you will definitely buy any Animated exclusives that are released. Enough letters from direct-end customers makes it more likely the figures that are produced get on the market, instead of in storage or destroyed.

    online exclusives don't work.

look at the Universe limited edition repaints, featuring Dragstrip and Overkill. both are EXTREMELY well done repaints, and perfect molds for the characters. came out last year. still on HTS. they're limited. they're still there.

SDCC Universe Nemesis Prime was up there for about a year.

Reissue Astrotrain was up for a year.

SDCC Titanium Menasor was actually up for damn near TWO years.

online exclusive repaints (and reissues) dont sell. New molds like Arcee? too big of a risk. they cost many times more tnan repaints. and if the repaints don't sell, then you shouldnt expect them to risk tons of money on exclusive molds. Repaints have the luxury of not having to make up the cost of R&D and mold production. Arcee, Rodimus, and Blackout would not have that luxury.

say the fandom did have a large interest in them. okay. well, being brand new molds, and being limited to risky online distribution, they're gonna cost more than they would at normal retail. several times more.

so yeah, most likely wont be happening. but if by chance it does, you had BETTER buy the damn things. if you don't, but you whined for Arcee, then well, you'd be a person who sucks.

Fan - "YEAH. I WANT IT. What, I can buy it now? maybe later. eh. nevermind. lost interest"
Hasbro - "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?"
Fan - *makes a "hasbro doesnt care about us" topic at tfw*

Hell, I can GUARANTEE that an online exclusive release of the season 3 characters would fail. wanna know how?

look at the topics asking people "now that animated is done, what do you still have to get?" or whatever.

Look at a lot of the "HARDCORE ANIMATED FANS THAT ARE SO SAD ABOUT THE SHOW AND TOYLINE ENDING" posting. what are they posting. that a huge amount of them still need to get 70-90 percent of the line. the toys they're missing are easily available at retail (or online), they havent bought them yet, and they're bitching about more toys not coming to retail? it's fucked up! they wouldnt buy them! The very people yelling the loudest about Animated's end didnt do anything to make the retailers want to keep ordering the line.

there are what, like... 27 unique molds in Animated? meaning if you were to buy like, one figure every two weeks since the line started, you could easily get the entire line. while taking your sweet-ass time. but so many ANGRY ANIMATED FANS havent bothered to do that. and you expect these people to make an online exclusive release pay off for hasbro? HA.

complaining that a line you liked is ending, but never bought anything from, is stupid.

can't blame me though, I own the entire main line, minus like, 3-4 repaints.

I'm not pointing fingers at you, or anyone else in particular. the angry lazy people know who they are. and they're about to yell at me.

oh great psj is going to bitch and moan about the possibility of not having an Animated Rodimus figure.

    Great.

and I thought having to sift through all the horrible topics in the movie forum was bad enough, UGH

You make excellent points. I do forget there is a vocal section of fans will never put up or shut up...that whining is intrinsic but financial support is not.

I bought the whole main line, and a couple activators, minus a couple repaints, so I know what you mean. If every 'adult' collector financially supported the hobby like...well, an adult, I don't guess we'd even be having the doldrum conversations about Animated's demise.

I think that online exclusives could work, but the model of delivery has been off. Mattel seems to have gotten the formula down. I agree that Drag Strip and Overkill are great molds and repaints...they just seem sort of random to me. I wasn't collecting when those came out, but did Hasbro run any sort of fan contest or promotion with the HTS exclusives?

No, the four (Optimus and Megatron, plus those two) were completely random.

Count me as an Animated fan who has nearly everything toywise, which is actually very abnormal for me, usually with a line I enjoy I still end up only getting a dozen or so figures, it just wasn't that hard for me to make the decision to get the lions share of them this time. However, I agree with the point, we're not going to see these as HTS exclusives, and I'm shocked at how many fans were posting in the thread about how they barely have any of the toys.

Well holy shit. the hasbro panel revealed Electrostatic Soundwave, Arcee, Rodimus, Wasp (straight bumblebee repaint) Cybertron mode Ratchet, and Ironhide (new head), Goldfire Grimlock, Earth mode Blackout, Voyager Thundercracker, Deluxe Wingblade Prime and Hydrodrive Bumblebee will be coming. may take into 2010, but they will be coming.

Bravo, hasbro. you just blew my fucking mind. throwing wasp in there, when you really, really didnt have to? that's just awesome.

NO ONE CAN EVER, EVER say that hasbro doesnt care again. This fucking seals it. that's a LOT of product to release for a "dead" line.

PLEASE stick these things in the display case, hasbro. I gotta see rodimus.

Toss in an Arcee repaint as Elita-One and you will be the most godly toy company in existance, Hasbro!

This is the best news I could hope for on the line. Now we don't have to worry about exclusives. We just get the figs.

    Thanks, Hasbro.

that's so awesome, really interested in Wingblade Prime, Arcee, Rodimus, Ratchet and Ironhide.

Just when I thought all I needed was Leader Megs and Magnus, and WreckGar, they give me a Big Ol' Surprise!

Thanks Hasbro, can't wait for the new figs to finish my Animated Collection.
