I ordered him from BBTS, but if it's anything like Prime, he will arrive at a bunch of other stores first and I will cancel my order at BBTS.

 

Any particular reason why he's $20 more than Optimus?

 

One obvious answer is retail greed. The US retailers were probably pretty surprised at how popular the OP figure was and how fast it sold out so they probably decided to raise the cost on Megs and the black version of OP. I pre ordered Megs from tf source at $200 but I ain't happy about it!!

At the end of the day, I will have this toy and you won't. I'll be very happy because I can buy what I like and what you think doesn't really matter.  

 

Planning on getting Prime and this beast. As much as I'd love to own their Ultimetal figures, those are way out of my price range at the moment. These are more affordable while still being highly detailed, articulated and large in size.

Whats ironic is earlier on this thread people were using price point as a reason to justify buying this over MP-36. Im not sure where they were getting the price from early, but they were making it seem like it was gonna be $100 or more cheaper. So yesterday TFSource and BBTS put up the pre-order up and its $200. (A whooping $40 cheaper) And TFsourxe offers free shipping for orders over $150 so they cant really claim shipping ups the price. $40 more and you can have a figure that actually does what Transformers are supposed to do. Just $40 guys...

 

It boils down to what you value most in your Transformers. Do you see them as toys or as characters? I care more about having the character best represented on my shelf, but if you like them more for the transforming gimmick, then obviously these aren't for you.

Once they showed Prime and teased Megatron, the few MP's that I had either went into storage or were sold off. These are perfect for what I want, which is good representations of the characters that can hang out with the likes of my Marvel Legends and Masters of the Universe figures.

 

I have 2 MP 36 and all the MP line excluding some diaclone items.

I also collect the Ultimetal line of non transforming Transformers, they are 1K each.

I also collect these amazingly fun TA Transformer figures because why the hell not.

I might just get a third MP 36 simply because I believe its the best MP ever made.

People can like other things too, see? Don't be obtuse and please STFU, and move along.

 

It's called "poseable statue" right in the news. Either way, it's a transformer that don't transform, like an Action Master. Some people like it, some don't. You guys are taking this way too seriously, and you did gang up on him.

People can also have opinions. You don't get to tell anyone to STFU. Have fun with your action masters.

 

As cool as you are, and you are really cool, poseable statue is still an oxymoron. At least, as far as the toy world goes. That guy can say whatever he wants. Hey, so can you! But the way it works is we can respond. You might see these posts and think we're taking it too seriously, but you know, don't tell me how to respond, just like we shouldn't tell anyone to shut up. CAN WE GET BACK ON TOPIC AND JUST DISCUSS THE FIGURE?!! JEESH!!! Debating on ordering the nemesis prime since I need more Decepticons lording over my autobots! Hmmm, dropping $400 on two 18 inch super poseable "TRANSFORMERS" is nice but wanting to save some $$ to buy upcoming Fans Toys figs too. Hmmmmm....

Collect whatever you like. But dont get mad if some people dont embrace what you collect. If youre working with that kinda $$$ then maybe you should buy everyone on this thread a statue-tron.
