Didn't you start this mess? You disrespected collectors who enjoyed MAS01 so they're excited for MAS02. haha

 

Don't get me wrong guys, I'm still buying since I have Optumus. Just would like an explanation for price increase. Would rather hear that cost of plastic has gone up rather than our dealer gave us the first offering at a discount to lock us in. Just $20 is significant to some people.

 

Is it just me or does the body look too short ?

 

I didn't disrespect any collectors. I called MAS02 a statue because it doesn't transform. A bunch of collectors found the comment offensive like if MAS02 is a living person with feelings. They defended MAS02 as being a more affordable price than MP-36. Then they found out he is only $40 cheaper and got even more frustrated. I just check my alerts and reply to anybody who quotes me. I don't follow the conversation on MAS02 anymore because I believe the statue of limitations has ran out.

When I first discovered Masterpiece Transformers, I wanted my entire collection to only be Masterpiece scale. Then I discovered KO OS Masterpiece Transformers, and I actually considered starting over, because they are truly "Masterpiece" and Takara's scale reboot just shorthanded fans investing that kind of money in toys- now there's MAS figures and while they are non transforming, they are "Masterpieces" in the truest sense of the word.  

These things are stunning! Gorgeous sculpts, G1 elements with all the necessary updates, LEDs and premium paint finishes! That's what $200USD should get you! Not some puny Takara MP-11.  

They have all the size, presence and punch of a $1000USD statue for 1/5 the coin! Amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing!

 

Couldn't agree more. I couldn't collect all the chars at this size due to the collection would just be insanely massive, but one could dream. I'd definitely have to be more selective.

 

You'd be about 75 by the time all the ones you wanted were released in this format anyway. I'm thinking this line will cap out around 5-7 releases.

 

Yep, same. some key chars, and that's it. I really don't expect much from the autobots. Mostly decepticons. I'm thinking:

Prime
bumblebee (as much as I hate him)
Megs
Soundwave
Starscream

 

Yeah, those are the usual suspects. Would be cool if these guys went completely left field and made some D listers, just for fun. MAS Wheelie perhaps? It would be great to see Grimlock, but as per these designs he'd probably be a little short and squat.

The best thing about these things is they scale with GI Joe figures! Cooooooooooobaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

 

Id need a new set underpants if the released grimlock, hah.

Ooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh man! A dino mode of grimlock in this size would be effing awesome!!! I would do more than wet myself if TA made that!
