Sorry, looks like my question was answered early on in this tread. So now I’m trying to figure out which toy line has heads which would be compatible with Archecore. Would the mini Fortnite figure line work ?
A giant sloth with a massive club, Chainsaw knights and a 4-legged buzzsaw mech!! THAT'S what I'm talkin' about!
Was not expecting the mech designed to grab and slaughter entire trees, they're getting their mileage out of that four-legged base. Takes some doing to make the croc-skulled walking turret feel less extreme. I hope whichever group/sub-group is getting the turtles and carts is getting the mounted war sloth (on brand y'know?).
The Sloth is definitely Karsten and, IIRC from the artwork for the Yggdrasil Turtle, so is the robo-lizard-skeleton thingy BUT, the guys on the six-legged turtle carts look more like Veck or Yggdrasil so who knows yet? I do kinda wish the massive gate was Karsten and not Veck as it's more in keeping with their aesthetic.
Do you suppose that thing on the right of the background is the new super-robot? Looks like it turns into a fortress of some kind, rather than a vehicle, but I guess some kind of siege weapon (a self-propelled ram, perhaps?) isn't out of the question. Definitely loving those centaurs.
That thing has been spotted in some other art and it definitely looks like it has castle-style towers on either side of it. Certainly doesn't look like a Frost Light variant, more like a scaled-up Hexa Gear Woodpecker with extra arms. There's definitely other mechs in the artwork we've seen - as well as that guy there's a couple of beast of burden-style guys, one with an orange torso and another Frost Light variant with one eye and headlights on its chest - and I assume each faction will have a mech of their own eventually.
I don't have any other Archecore figures other than Frostlight (which I love). Considering getting the Berserker armor on sale, but I don't have any wolves. Is it easy to use two of the same wolves for both arms (how do I change the grip so one can work as the opposite hand in combined mode)? Would the black wolf work better for color unity or do y'all recommend just getting one of each as intended?
As far as I remember from earlier in the thread, it was easy to switch the grip. I don't have them in front of me to check, but I think there's just a plastic piece that covers the unused thumb hole. You remove it, switch the thumb to the other side, then put the piece in the empty hole. While I personally would prefer two black wolves for color unity, I like having the different weapons and riders.
AAAAAH HECKING HECK I’m gonna be so poor. I SWORE that my Frost Light + trailer + two arm bots would be a one and done for me. But then my combined Frost Light robot felt lonely… So I preordered the green Frost Light repaint, the armored turtle thing, and a few of the little human guys. I’m not following the fiction. Like, at all. But this is one of the more imaginative toy lines I’ve seen in recent years!
We should be getting payment requests for the Mithril Hawk Paladins and the Yggdrasil Battle Oven any day now as they're officially out now!
