They look fantastic in pics! But think the price is high for what they are. Nevertheless, there is a big nostalgia factor here.

Guys, what do you think of the figures in hand?

it's not that I don't get what they are going for, it's that these just look so... bad. If you'd told me someone on the boards 3D printed these and hand painted them I'd believe it more then a company actually putting them out in retail.

The sculpting is just so under detail and poor, the heads in particularly... and the proportions so odd ~ Grimlock is the only halfway decent one, and his head is sooooo wide.

Frenzy looks like he's been sneaking too many energon goodies...

For this second wave, they all look dreadful outside of Grimlock. I kinda want the Jazz but not for the same price I can get RTS Jazz on Ebay.

On a toy line the most explicitly cartoon-oriented of all time, this is to be expected (however incorrect).

I bought the first wave of these. Regretted it immediately when I got them in hand. They aren’t great at all, especially the lack of articulation. Disappointing, like most of Super 7’s figures. Such a shame, a bit of articulation and these may have been something worthwhile getting.

What if they make a proper Jetfire in a later wave... but as the ultimate 'Fuck You' to Harmony-Gold, they use the mould from their ReAction Robotech VF-1S?

Briefly thought about grabbing Jetfire, but that huge noggin is a deal breaker. I've seen better looking KO's.

Devastator is listed twice. I was thinking one would be Astrotrain but BBTS now has him up for preorder for April. Are we getting (2) versions?

Yes, one the same size as the others, and one oversized. The oversized one was displayed at the February toy show. 52-01.jpg

I really don't see the appeal in "intentionally shitty" toys unless, like, they're meant as a gag.

Are these meant to be funny? Because I certainly laugh at the prospect of paying money for them.

I'm going to point out that this was made for both fans of both the animated series and people who like collecting retro style action figures. Because I might cause issues if say how some non-Transformers collectors see that toyline. :rolleyes2
