Toy Fair 2017 - Bluefin Booth - Flame TF-01 Drift
This is good, but it'd be better if it were AOE Watanabe Drift.
Is this a licensed, transforming figure?
With transforming versions of the character coming out from third parties that capture the character just as well or better (and have more features and accessories), one has to wonder what the market is for this guy.
what exactly is this? #confused
What is up with the naming structure -01?
Is this a new line? This looks great BTW.
EDIT: it doesn't transform !!!??????
"High end product rare in the current toy market." Boy. Aren't they fucking wrong. Also, doesn't transform. That's like yeah, discount bin.
Apparently not. I decided to use a brain cell and read the info card. It looks like it would
Well that looks like a pretty nice Drift, curious what the scale, price and articulation is on this guy
Did no one read the placard? Fifty joints. Diecast and LED features. Officially licensed by Hasbro and distributed via Bluefin. I'm interested in the price. Depending on cost I'd bite. I've always wanted a highly articulated non-transforming line of Transformers.
That's.......that's.......going to find a home in my collection. That's what that is.
Depending on price an scale, I'd be down.
Looks great! Ok 3rd parties, get me something close to this but with the ability to transform.
This. Drift looks great. A tad too Gundam-ish in the legs, but it's not a deal-breaker for me. Price is the deciding factor.
Art storm (I think) made a really nice Prime, Grimlock and alpha trion but for some reason cancelled the line. I was all in but I think non-transforming transformers are a tough sell.
Is it like a "posable statue"? Or a high end Hot toys figure?
So, its a Tamashii with lights?
This is going to be more like a Bandai produced Soul of Chogokin figure, So...lots of posability, diecast, light up feature and a hefty price point.
Oh man that looks gorgeous....
^This right here.
Artistically I think that's actually kind of how Drift and a lot of others were being drawn by IDW at the time. Price is definitely going to be a factor for me. I'm expecting something akin to SoC.
Yeah, I remember those. They had also shown off an Arcee and Elita-One, but those were never released. Shame because I would have bought all those too.
Separate names with a comma.
