Well they may release Optimus as a Platinum release, now that we've got Grimlock. Still, I won't bother. The Takara one's $80, and in AUD that's less than $120 which is just over leader price point here anyway. Who cares.

For once i actually like this Bee, and the toy is very nice.
What is not so nice is that they include a version of the toy with a rather pointless redeco with Grimlock, so the money you would have saved now goes to a toy most allready have and are forced to take into the package.

There's some pretty cool stuff here. I'm glad that awesome Grimlock will be available oversea's.

The Windblade figure looks alright, I'm hoping Takara does a better job with the paint, though. Scorponok looks really cool, and I love all the Mini-cons. That Optimus figure looks super cool.

No i mean the Bumblebee redeco :)
If they had included the Battlegrounds redeco that would have been another matter, but there's little difference here with the original Warriors toy.

The Windblade toy looks like a great improvement over the Generations toy. I like it a lot.

You know, not everyone shares the same opinion...

When I go into a store and see what Transformers have become, I'm glad to see that the brand is still going strong and doing well.

The 'old' Transformers aren't coming back, cos you know, they're old.

How do you even define "old transformers"? 1985? 92? 99? 05?

Cause just about the only time I would take over what we're getting today is early Generations, and I'm sure that's not what he's referring to.

I just want to see more main line Decepticons get made.

There's so many in the show, and we only have five of them as deluxes so far, but hey, keep putting out those repaints Hasbro.:rolleyes2

    Lord Doomitron. Love it.

The Platinum Set looks good - but will probably cost around $60 making it a pass. Really would have liked that Grimlock in the FOC mold. Oh well.

A long period of ignoring fans and coming up with weird offshoots, by the time Gi-joe remembered what it was the fans gave up. I remember.

Well, judging by all the different GI Joe vs Transformers comics i've read writers seem to think all GI Joe is about is fantasising about Scarlett :inquisiti
That may be good enough for fanboys and teens but i doubt it's a good mentality to keep a franchise alive :lol

Yes but i'm sure it's just a prototype. The red will be broken up by accents on the final release.

    Word.

I was thinking a bit, after trying to digest all the new cool stuff to come this year, how we fans and collectors really should be happy that Transformers - new and old - have pretty much stayed true to their original archetype. No matter the gimmicks, simplification and design changes - we still get robots that transform. We still have Good vs. Evil. We still have legendary warriors of both "genders". We still have characters that bring something unique to the story.

As a previous post mentioned, we could be in the same boat as G.I. Joe - which apparently is a sinking ship. There is also at least one other line I won't name that has went in a direction that has alienated its original fanbase, and mutated the line in a way that abandons its foundation so irresponsibly as a person would discard an unwanted pet.

Anyone know if Powersurge Sideswipe and Bumblebee are fully articulated?
