Not a single thing that looked good enough to interest me other than bird-chestplate prime, and I really don't feel like buying Prime again anytime soon.

Nobody noticed because the ones on the original do spin anyway.

I noticed it. I also think that it uses the same design core as Starscream, but is not a retool.

It's not a case of Rook becoming Swindle or Prime Arcee becoming Generations Chromia. It looks more like a case of different Bumblebee moulds from different movies, where they all use a similar idea but they are each unique moulds.

Also the back of the jet kind of reminds me of Universe Octane. Not complaining, even though it is technically a con.

Someone once commented on a commercial for Optimus Prime where they said 'the day Optimus shelfwarms that hard is a sad day indeed'.

Well, it's not sad. The toy's pretty bad so no sleep lost.

Is it bad that the thing I want the most here is Legion Groundpounder?

I guess Scorponok looks good as well. I might get Warrior Power Surge Optimus if I find it on the cheap. Battle pack Strongarm looks okay. Windblade looks underpainted and I don't care about any of the Minicons at large gimmick toys.

As for the Platinum set, I think it's great that Hasbro found a way to release the Voyager Grimlock mold, but surely that had to be another figure choice over another Bumblebee.

Your right they totally do. I sold my opened wind blade and I.have a non opened one but I just checked and although a different system of swivel, your right it does indeed swivel at the vtol.

I agree I think Hasbro has been doing that a lot lately to save on designers transformation tricks? Or perhaps they are still paying designers to come IP with the same design but one things for sure they repurpose the transformations a lot lately. Not necessarily bad but think if they did that for map OPTIMUS PRIMAL that be lame I think ingenuity is part of the transformers brand. I hope they don't forget that in time.

Still its nice you notice the Starscream look too.

But chances are the RID collectors already have like 3 versions of the mold...

I'm more disappointed that they could be other choices for including. Hell, if they were going to do a BB they could have done a more show-accurate deco akin to Takara's.

I've been pretty luke-warm on the NuRiD toys.

    Still am.

Already got the Grimlock from Takara, don't need another with a shiny, shiny 'Bee.

I'll take the Windblade, she looks pretty good.

Otherwise... meh. I'll wait till they're on sale before picking them up like I have done with the first few waves.

Ah yes, the first time EVER that Optimus has been able to fly. Not counting EVERY single other series in Transformers history where he has also been able to fly at some point, INCLUDING G1 (though that was a strange time where everyone could fly, we don't talk about that) jesus this isnt even the first time hes been able to fly IN THE PRIME SERIES!!! which youknow, RID is a continuation of... I'm not mad about the toy itself, looks pretty cool. but whoever came up with that pitch needs boiled in oil, and the people who though it was a good, fired.

With that big Optimus, we finally have some articulation, but we don't have paint. And you have to wonder if there is even a point to transforming anymore? There is zero effort put into it and it looks like crap, I can't imagine paying $5 for it let alone whatever they have the audacity to ask for.

The Platinum set is a joke, TakaraTomy Bumblebee is way more accurate and has way more paint apps. Everyone who cared enough to want the best version of Bumblebee already has one. Platinum sets continue to be a joke and irrelevant.

Scorponok is interesting, but I'll wait and see what TakaraTomy does with him. Otherwise this line has so little effort put into it, and it shows. These toys lack an insane amount of detail.

The way they've been pricing Platinum sets lately I'd be surprised if it were that cheap.

Joking aside, it'll probably sell for $59-69.

I'm glad I got mine when it first went for preorder in Japan for $30.

I already ordered Hyper Prime from AE when it went up for $45. Hopefully it has more paint apps than the Hasbro one.
