That's a great comparison pic. I've been looking at pics of the two the past few days and the differences between the Metroplex and FM are clearer now. The pics on the OP was two cluttered and it initially looked too similar to Metroplex.

Anyone know what the price point is?

Wait, what? It's relatively the same size as the original G1 if it's similar to Metroplex...

Nope. I saw a review with Titan Metroplex and G1 Fort Max side by side. TW Metroplex is definitely by far taller

Edit: Ok, just a head taller. But still, we don't know for sure, but TW Fortress Max will either be the same height as Metroplex or just a little smaller
    Comparison is at 23:29

Less than an inch taller. :rolleyes2

And TR Fort Max has a bigger head than Gen Metroplex. So the new Max will likely be just a hair taller than Gen Plex.

Q a bunch of arguments about if you count the height from the top of the head, top of the horns or top of the guns on his shoulders.

Either way, what I was getting at is it's just barely comprehendable for me to think that that thing was/is over $300 roughly for a new one, and yet we're getting this one, at that size, for under $200. I'd honestly take that over a legacy Thunder Megazord anytime for that price.

Still would love a proper fortress mode tho. Especially considering they are putting into account more accuracy in most of these transformers. Disappointing they went and sacrificed that.

I reckon there is a tower configuration to let those legs point upwards in city mode.

Take a look from the back of the bot mode. There is a lot of room to one side of the knees and and different coloured plastic pieces in the lower leg. In another picture the inner calf appears to possess a double hinge.

It's my guess that the lower leg opens up to allow some of the thighs to fold inside, before closing back again. The result is compacted leg sections. We've already seen a similar transformation used in a lot of the combiner wars deluxe limbs. Don't forget that the thigh ratchets are going to be super strength to hold up those heavy torso & arms, so keeping the compacted legs up shouldn't be a stretch.

If the lower leg can be compacted to just about the thigh ratchets, the resulting sections can be rotated in city mode to point straight upwards, with the rear of the legs becoming the forward facing aspect of the two new towers. The knee guns are now behind and with their hinges near the base might fold out to give stability.

Those blue panels on the rear of the legs haven't been used in any of the pictures so far, so they probably fold out to clip on around the shoulder ramps to complete the classic G1 city silhouette:

Na that is hold over parts from metroplex, his legs open up in base mode, and the blue bits are just the replacement for metros wheels.

Me too. Dang, I really wish we knew the release dates for all these transformers. Especially this one. Cuz knowing me, I won't know the release date at all, and he'll be out for a month before I even know he's been released or find in any store (likely will get online tho).

I always wanted fort max (but obviously never did... I already insanely spoiled), so this will be a must get for me.

(no... I'm not into buying classic toys at a premium :p )

Cerebros´size is like Saber and carbots from Masterpiece, isn´t he ?

BTW, What updates will introduce Takara ? I mean, the SDCC version (supposedly) will include Master Sword

Cerebros is meant to be dlx size and "spike" is a normal sized titan master.

Not much to think about for me. It's awesome that with a giant figure like this, you get a proper deluxe size transformer that combines with it, rather than just a brick with arms and legs you can fold back.

Well, I have compared Masterpieces sizes with deluxes sizes, and I can say that my mind is more open to this toy. However, I will wait for Takara version
I would love a "Head On !" sound when you put Emissary´s head in Cerebros' body
