Toyfair doesn't usually show store exclusives, do they? Maybe Computron is a TRU exclusive or something. No idea on Liokaiser.

 

Apparently they're expected to show up in April.

 

I don't think they're exclusive, I just think it may be too far ahead to announce them. Odds are Computron is August or so and Liokaiser I don't think even has a time frame.

But if they're online stuff or just not mass retail that could explain why they're not being shown off at the big Titans party.

 

This is quite likely, if it's a box. I just hope it's Target or Amazon exclusive rather than TRU.

 

That semi-clear Cyclonus is odd but I kinda like it. If I ever manage to get the ehobby clear Decepticon set and this it'll be a midway reformatting. Kinda cool. Problem with both sets is they'll be too expensive. Also not sure why they bothered with a Devcon head. It's a bit random for a Sweep to look that clean and shaven. Oh well. Also not sure why Cyclonus has Kup's redneck gun.
Anyway still might pick those sets up...at clearance. I do love all those molds at least.
As for Victorion did her color scheme change a bit? Seems like there's more teal this time around. I think she looks better in combined mode, but one of the copters looks absolutely terrible in alt mode.

 

This surprises me but I guess it makes sense. Titans is the big new thing.

BotCon is probably when we'll see it...that or leaks.

I couldn't disagree more. You could argue that one face looks better than the other although FunPub's is closer to the show with it's chin whereas the Platinum one is a bit closer to the 3h artworks, but most importantly the little gun atop the head on FunPub's is dead on to Devcon's whereas Hasbro's just reuses Scourge's. The thin front of the helmet's also more show accurate for FunPub. I'd daresay FunPub's version crushes Hasbro's..

 

I really wanted to hate the Cyclonus/Sweeps set when I saw the reveal. But in the last few minutes, it's sort of grown on me. I kind of like the idea of my Generations Scourge having some Sweep troops with some individuality. That Cyclonus can be repurposed as "Armada".

One thing that disappoints me is Hasbro's lack of information on a US release of that AoE G1 Style platinum Dinobots set.

Cool Sweeps. Not.so into.the cyclonus but then again I have all the old versions, TakaraTomy Hasbro & BATTLE IN SPACR, so I could always head swap? Have to look but I'm sure it be relatively easy

Where has it said that liokaiser is coming to combiner wars USA (vrs TakaraTomy only)?

 

I thought Victorian looked better before with the old colors. The colors were ridiculous but seemed to offset each other. Now she looks too red.

 

It hasn't been said anywhere but we HAVE seen Hasbro artwork of Liokaiser in the same style as Computron. There's no official confirmation either way but a USA Liokaiser is the one that we "know" about.

Shelfwarming, no, languishing on Canadian TRU shelves for three weeks already.

 

Well, they just killed my interest for the Cyclonus and his armada set. I was hoping for more detailed versions of Universe Cyclonus and Generations Scourge along with a new Devcon but alas, that's not the case.

 

I actually prefer the bluer Victorion colors. Making the color desaturated doesn't fix the color layout being a jigsaw puzzley looking mess.

I wish they made that Sweeps head earlier so Funpub could have taken it for their Devcon instead of making their own awful pouty lipped face.

 

Same. When I heard of this set, I thought "Hell yeah, Cyclonus mold and even more Sweeps." Not liking the overkill with the translucent parts.

 

How are we gonna get two brand new Brainstorm molds in such quick succession but Hasbro's still puking up that same Rodimus mold from '06??

 

Translucent plastic=no buy for me. Shame, I was hoping to like that set as I wanted a version of the molds. The bits that aren't translucent are good though, so I might still get it if I find it on the cheap.

 

That new Devcon-looking head is way too good of a new sculpt for such a meh three-pack. Cyclonus and Scourge look cool in a "being reformatted by Unicron" kind of way, but I wish Sweepcon (Devsweep?) was done in solid colors.

I wonder how much of Victorion's colors are due to the lighting.
