This may have been mentioned already, but I just realized that, upon closer inspection, Streetwise is a CW Dead End remold/repaint. Almost didn't recognize it by the vehicle mode alone. I had to look at the robot to see the resemblance. I wonder what Streetwise's car mode is supposed to be.

Holy Freaking Crap.

Hasbro freaking delivered the goods once again.

Devastator is mighty and Defensor is easily one of the best looking figures of the year.

Leader Ultra Magnus is so MTMTE, I love it. The fact it comes with Minimus is the perfect little cherry on top.

Cyclonus is meh. Galvatronus is a pretty dumb idea in my opinion, plus I'm still satisfied with the Universe figure anyways.

Warpath is a dud but like Cyclonus, satisfied with his previous figures.

Viper is super awesome. Gonna get him for sure.

 

Hasbro has finally lost its mind.

 

So, y'know how people have theorised Magnus could be retooled as Powermaster Prime? Well courtesy of Seibertron, look where the front of the truck's cab ends up in bot mode...

Figured this fandom would be sick to death of Optimus at this point.

 

Man. That is a bunch of good stuff. RID Jazz and Sideswipe look pretty good, would love to own the molds as repaints.

I like what I see so far for Ultra Magnus. While I have grown attached to my Voyager RID Magnus, this new leader figure looks like a fantastic upgrade/replacement.

The Constructicons look great, I won't be picking them up because I've already got Hercules as my Devastator, and I don't actually want my Combiners to be as big as Metroplex.

I think I will definitely be owning Cyclonus. I wonder why the undercarriage wasn't handled like his deluxe toy (for both him and Silverbolt). But he looks pretty good and I want a voyager sized Not-a-Decepticon for my Lost Light Crew.

Now, I love this Defensor. It's almost everything I ever wanted. The only improvement I could ask for would be to get rid of Rook, and make Blades a voyager and split to form arms or legs. But that's ok, Groove is Legends which is wonderful, and I am glad I held off on getting Alpha bravo so I can get the blades repaint. I am so excited for Defensor it's not even funny. Can't wait for him to come out!

 

Crap, just noticed Hook does have his cab foot.

 

After having a chance to peruse the photos a bit better, I have to say I'm confused by Hasbro's choice of aesthetic on Mixmaster's vehicle mode. When initial Devastator pictures came out, I had thought that the left foot just looked like that as an engineering necessity, but it just looks that way because they chose to engineer Mixmaster strangely, complete with strange-looking cab. I have to admit, I'm a little mystified about that particular decision.

Also... I will absolutely not be buying any of those RiD toys. They don't particularly look like they're made for the 10+ crowd.

The Protectobots are looking great too. Super excited for them.
RID-wise, was only interested in Sideswipe and Jazz, both of which aren't too shabby. But the minicons have caught my eye. They're all pretty cute.

 

So when you say great sword, do mean high in the quality or the type of sword known as a greatsword:

'cause lemme tell ya, the Silverbolt molds tight-ass arm joints can most certainly hold a greatsword.

 

Protectobots look great. Cyclonus looks great. Love that Magnus comes with Minimus (though I wish he were the larger Legends size to give him a bit or articulation, but that's fine... making him micro is fine).

I fear Viper will be hard to find because lots of people will likely want to troop-build him. Lots of people including me.  

EDIT:

OH, also, LOVE the green being used for Devastator. Too many Devastators end up being kind of darker, vibrant grass green. But this pale hazard green is how I think of G1 Devastator, and I prefer it so much more. I could not be happier with that choice.

 

Devastator and Defensor are two of the most beautiful things Hasbro has ever produced.

Refresh my memory, but does Hasbro usually release their official images online after their panel?

 

Really turned off by that Devastator. The Ultra Magnus looks good, and I kinda like Cyclonus' robot mode.

Protectobots are half good half awful. At least they're getting away from throwing the ports in every single chest.

 

All the Combiner Wars look really good to me with a few exceptions: the obvious & ugly clip-on style wheels, the continued, yet better placed hollow plastic, & MixMaster's hideous cab (I'll drive him backwards).

Defensor, Ultra Magnus, Devastator, etc., hurry up, I can't wait!

 

Devastator does not look upscaled simply because of the details on the front of Long Hauls' vehicle mode. Awesome. Also, how the hell does a car drive up Magnus' ramp?

Will definitely pick up Magnus, I don't read the comics so I have no idea who the little midget is who comes with him, will throw him on Ebay.

 

Overall I'm very pleased with what's been revealed here today. Only a MP announcement could top what I've seen. How cool is that Magnus? He is going to look great next to Classics Prime with a few CHUG cars being hauled around. I think thats how I will display him. Protectobots are a god send and it scratches another 3P attempt off my wishlist. But Like others have said I hope Takara somehow comes thru with with a G1 Defensor. Not sure how thy are gonna do it. Viper is really sweet hopefully this is a glimpse of the future and a whole crossover line will be in the works down the road. Not sure how Cyclonus could look any better unless he received his own mold from scratch, bravo! Devastator is just WOW. Those bot modes just stepped out of the G1 cartoon. Looks like the only detractors are the lack of elbow joints for Scrapper and Long Haul. Overall these look like a fun bunch of toys that probably snap together in less than 10 minutes. Keep up the good work HasTak.

 

My god...Magnus is beautiful and looks like he just straight-up walked out of MTMTE. I bet a lot of City Commanders are gonna end up on eBay once he's out.

Devastator continues to look better and better, and I definitely want him.

As for the Protectobots, I'll at least get Hot Spot and First Aid. Hot Spot's easily the best-looking CW Voyager so far.

Cyclonus actually impresses me quite a bit, but I only just got Universe/RTS Cyclonus 2 weeks ago so I'll probably pass on him.

I don't care that Warpath doesn't have a chest cannon (unlike a lot of people around here). I think he looks nice but I probably won't get him.

Viper looks ok, but I wish Hasbro put an actual DeceptiCobra symbol on him.

And speaking of Viper...since GI Joe is basically dead, A good way (I think) for Hasbro to save it would be to merge it with Transformers and have more crossover toys like Viper.

Don't really care about any of the RID stuff.

Overall I'm very impressed. Hasbro's really upping their game with Combiner Wars. Devastator and Defensor already look way better than Superion and Menasor (both of whom I'm skipping because I have no attachment to the Aerialbots or Stunticons)
