Magnus is a HUGE amount of awesome. I love that Minimus Ambus is included!! I never thought in a million years they'd actually do it.

I'm a little nervous that nothing has been said about Slingshot or Wildrider yet, though. I really hope the US gets them eventually.

 

I don't think "plans" would be the right word, given the Galvatronus aspect of the toy was just revealed, and we don't even have a good look at it yet.

That said, my money goes to whomever can put out a scourge/sweeps team for him with a properly scaled version of his cannon first.

On a side note, didn't we get hints that a deluxe CW Shockwave was coming? Odd choice for a CW deluxe, unless he's on the Galvatronus team, perhaps as a decepticon answer to the CW masquerade set. (As in, a Decepticon team composed of name characters not usually part of a combiner team)

 

I'll wait for a Takara Devastator, I bet the colors will be better.

Maybe they might even remold Mixmaster's cab, so it doesn't look so bad.

Other than that, the robot modes are spot on.

 

IMO, he belongs to the bizarre separate CHUG scale which includes Universe Silverbolt, and Generations Springer, Sandstorm, and Brainstorm.

Everything Combiner Wars is looking excellent...I think I may even want to grab Cyclonus now...only pass'll be Viper...RID Jazz looks good as well...might grab him too...

Can someone confirm if Scrapper has elbows? It looks like elbow rotation but no bend.

I'm hoping for a 3rd party fix for this if that's the case because I otherwise think he looks great. I would also like a fix in the future for what I feel are very short (like fiddler crab small claw short) arms on Long Haul. I like the way he looks otherwise too!

 

Looking at Defensor, now I can see how they can make a remolded Onslaught/Bruticus.

 

Magnus looks like he might transform like the MP Magnus figure (though more "action figure" than MP Magnus)

 

That's one hell of an idea, I certainly hope Prime can fit inside!

crosses fingers, but I think I'll be putting my money together for the inevitable SDCC devastator HTS release, which here's hoping is in G2 colors. (Oh, and Hasbro, put out a G2 colors Leader Megs while your at it. the mold is just screaming for it. )

 

Leader Magnus looks awesome, especially with his Minimus figure. Devastator looks better together than apart, save for Long Haul who's a nice individual figure. And I absolutely love Streetwise. Very cool!

 

A lot of great stuff. Some hit, some miss, but overall great.
Still not crazy about Mixmaster tho. I get why they did it. I accept it. Just not pleasing to my eye.

The Protectobots look sweet. But I am unimpressed with Rook. Should have used the motorcycle. Cant argue againts scale- the cycle being used forthe chest piece is still out of scale. Should have ran with it. Besides Powerglide is out of scale and he's a rifle.

And speaking of Powerglide... that Cobra repaint is awesome.
As is Magnus. Glad I passed the MP.

 

There are only two things in CW that I don't want - Warpath, and Thundercracker (both the recent scout and the leader)

Everything else is bought on sight! Especially love the IDW Ultra Magnus!

 

Who can Minimus Ambus be repurposed as...

 

It looks like Hot Spot's ladder is on Defensor's back and is hinged. If the rumored Onslaught is a retool of Hot Spot, that ladder can definitely be retooled into Bruticus' cannons.

Well, that Leader Magnus is surprising. I thought it was going to be a voyager, but very glad it turned out to be larger. Wonder why they canceled the G1 version.

Those are exclusives, so they wouldn't be shown at Toy Fair.
