IMO the only figure of the TFP voyagers where the gimmick of having a light up weapon and translucent plastics would actually work and make the toy look real good is Megatron. it just gives him that look of being powered by Dark Energon.

Most of the new deluxes I seen impresses me, they look simple, with no over the top gimmickry much but has accessories and articulation.

And Bulkhead.... still need to see more if this would work for me. I ain't gonna fault something right away without seeing a video or written review. The kids who loves light up stuff might like these ya know.

And that Optimus Max really looks kinda impressive.

 

Just read that the Entertainment pack with Bumblebee and Starscream w/ Silas and Mech Agent, will only be available in Canada and Asia.

What the heck is with all these things only being available in Canada, and more specifically, Asia?

 

Other than to capitalize on less utilized markets, I don't get it either to be honest, but at least this one won't be the only way to get the deluxes inside like it was with the deluxe megs & prime couse bee & screamer are repacks.

Also, that Ratchet looks a lot better than early photos.

Yeah, and if TRU (canada) sells it at 45 bucks like they did with the last entertainment pack, it probably wont even make sense to buy it at cost from someone.

Bulkhead and Starscream look so stupid in vehicle mode with all that Mechtech crap attached. At least the DOTM Mechtech stuff looked like weapons.

This looks like just a big collection of nothing sitting on top of the vehicle.

 

starscream is almost okay...but what the eff with the blue clear plastic forearms so far soundwave, drift, arcee, and the vehicon are the only ones that i like in this line.

After today I can safely say I'd really appreciate some transparency on the design process discrepancies between the DOTM line, the FE line, and everything we've seen today.

WEEEEEEE!!!!! Yay for Dreadwind! A nod to two of my favorite G1 characters, and one of my favorite G2 toys.

 

Hasbro have screwed up big time.

 

No, because nothing besides the First Editions and RID Wheeljack & Vehicon remotely look good to me. Believe me, I *wanted* to like this line, but all the obtrusive click-on gimmick clear light up plastic shit combined with a lot of terrible, terrible mold designs has completely put me off. Purely based on the way I collect series, I'd rather have no TFP figs than just a small handful of the good ones.

I just don't personally like the look of it. I think the clear plastic looks awful, I think the bot mode is more inaccurate than the FE Deluxe, the jet mode looks like shit, and the mechtechish gimmick is ridiculous.

All the power to the people that like this line - it's just not for me unfortunately.

 

Is Optimus Maximus supposed to belong to the Prime line? His aesthetic looks very different. Anyway, as a figure, his shape really reminds me of Primal Prime
