OMG this is a sweet looking toy, I can't wait to be pissed off when Hasbro doesn't release it because the 15 FOC Bumblebee repaints aren't selling!

    Shockwave looks awesome.

It would be cool to see a 3rd party come out with an addon that would bulk this guy up to Voyager size.

He's not fine. He's got his front wheels on his forearms instead of being on his back where they belong.

If you look these FOC toys over, you'll notice how simplified they've become when compared with their WFC predecessors.

Shockwave's alt mode kinda disappoints me, perpetuating the lamentable tradition of 'it's a spaceship because Hasbro says so' alts. At least the Combaticons' alt modes are quite recognizable as military vehicles. But jeepers, that bot mode of his is utterly gorgeous.

Shockwave looks glorious. This makes me forgive DoTM Shockwave.

Shockwave's original altmode was a gun. Which, in the comics, was a giant flying gun.

This altmode appears to be a giant flying gun. Which is good enough for me.

    Reasons Shockwave sucks to me:
#1. Gun on wrong arm (or is the picture flipped? cuz it looks like the CG model has it on the correct side)
#2. the Energon Shockblast style "mega gun arm" instead of the elegant G1 style hand replacement gun (one of my favorite features of the OG)
#3. all the EXTREME!!! points (less egregious than the CG model, probably due to safety concerns, but still bothersome)
#4. proportions: mega wide squat torso, giant shoulders thin, spindly legs.
#5. Triangles everywhere ~ this is totally a personal thing, but for some reason all the triangular shapes High Moon uses on a lot of the Decepticons really bugs me (see also Brawl and Megatron).
#6. the sub-lazy, WTF non-alt mode. I really, really dislike essentially ALL of the WFC/FoC alt modes, I just find them boring, uncreative and lazy, but this one is by far the worst of the worst. I mean, it's not that hard to make cool Cybertronian alt modes: see the Technobots and 1st gen Targetmasters and Headmasters, the CDF molds from Cybertron, a lot of the Energon Decepticons and most of Don's tWWi designs (or later redesigns for Stormbringer). This just looks like the bot mode folded up awkwardly, as much like a space ship as a purple steam punk locomotive.
    #7. he's a deluxe.

sigh... I'd be less bothered if it wasn't one of my favorite characters and i didn't feel like this version is going to preclude us getting a proper "Classics" version in the next 2-3 years...

    To offset the negativity:
The headsculpt looks fantastic and i love the clear purple chest piece, solid update to the classic.

I agree, I am not at all amused with Hasbro's apparent new trend of "fuck it, let's just put the wheels, um.... THERE!!" I was extremely impressed with Jazz because I thought they got the wheel ankles right, but then I realized that a) they're faux wheels and b) his character design doesn't even have wheels on the arms, which are glaringly present on the toy.

Actually he does have wheels on his arms...where he doesn't have wheels is in his chest.

Ah, I just saw one image of his character render where you couldn't see them. I stand by the rest of my statement!

The gun is a separate piece that can fit on either arm. so you have no need to worry about it being on the "wrong side".

This angle of Bruticus looks a bit better than the face on one from before. I am liking all of them enough to buy them. Jazz seems to have a nasty case of robo gigantism.

Does anyone else think Jazz's alt-mode looks a bit too much like an Earth-Mode?

But that'd make a kick-ass Dead End, if I say so myself.

Just been watching a couple of episode of Prime, and had a crazy thought.

What if FoC Shockwave went around with an entourage of vehicon drones?
