Crap! I just found out and was going to make a topic!

Anyway, I really liked this one. Plenty of action, Sari annoyance factor kept to a minimum, and a badass villan. I want a Meltdown toy NOW!

This ep was kinda... bleh after 1-4 and 6.

But, another good example of kibble having a use, the big green guy making himself a chair(can't ever remember his damn name).

I agree with the watchers, it was 'OK'.

Nothing special, but still great compared to some of the cartoons these days.

You're right, there weren't any Decepticons in episode 5. :sly:

    I totally forgot about them.

It's pretty much a filler episode with no ties to the over-arching story of the season. I can totally see why CN bumped it. It can be plugged back into the schedule anywhere without screwing up the continuity.

    It'll be a valuable asset once TF:A goes 5 days a week.

    Very G1-ish.

    Ebay:
    Negatives:
    - I'm not quite clear on how Prometheus Black became Meltdown. Something to do with gas and Bumblebee's armor, but I'm not sure how it went from that to him changing into Meltdown.
    - No Decepticons.
    - Prometheus Black's voice. It's kind of a pseudo, obviously fake accent.
    - The Steroid-addicted old man was a little TOO weird for my tastes. Growing THAT big because of some steroids? Kinda stretching it even for cartoon sci-fi, there.

    Positives:
    - Pretty good dialogue and characterization, like the other eps.
    - Sari was not annoying at all, and wasn't as large a focus of the story as some other eps (I'm looking at you, "Home is Where the Spark is").
    - The action in general, especially how they captured Meltdown at the end. (Though I have to wonder how they kept him contained like that long-term...)
    - Bulkhead's back armor forming a chair. AWESOME.
    - The TFs watching TV.

Overall, a B. About mid-of-the-road as the series goes, so far.

the steroid man was an obvious rip off of bane from batman. even the whole wrestling thing was there.

And what's with all the ragging on Meltdown's VA?

It's instantly recognizable as Peter Stormare.

I'm sure you've seen him somewhere before...

Cool! Thanks for the tube link. Good foundation ep. Love the continued special use of body parts. Loved the Bulkhead chair transform and BB in the elevator shaft.

So glad I didn't have to wait for CN to decide to air this ep.

Couldn't place the accent myself. But it wasn't that bad.

    My favorite parts though:

-All the short jokes. Even Prowl gets a burn in.
-Bumblebee going up the elevator the way he did.
-Those transformations - which I feared were a reuse of the first ep's - were actually NEW animations. Win.

Though what codecs do I need to play the vid? Media Player Classic throws an error and I have the CCCP.

Pretty good as far as I'm concerned. For those that wanted longer transform sequences you got it in this episode. That doesn't mean it'll always be used.

POSSIBLE Spoiler ........ hey, i know people keep saying not airing this episode wont mess with continuity, but in a way it will they need to show it eventually, because they need to introduce Meltdown. but as long as they show it before another episode with him in it, then that would be fine.

but as to why it got bumped, it was just too early to show another villianous human. it would have basically been "Battle with Starscream, meeting Archer and fighting in the base, meeting Meltdown, then have Megatron try to rebuild his body" it just doesntt flow right. they should do what they are doing-introduce decepticon (Starscream), then human (Archer), then decepticon (Lockdown), then human (Nanosec), and then continue the trend with a decepticon (Blackarachnia), then Meltdown between Blackarachnia's premiere and the thing with Lugnut and Blitzwing.

In all honesty, I thought it was a better episode then the Grimlock episode - which had a dull Prowl/Bulkhead sideplot and some lamer fight sequences. This one was a solid episode all around - felt very much like a Teen Titans episode.
