How is Shia a good thing? The best thing's are the effects, the music and the voice cast, I can't think of anything else.

    For me, anyway:
    1) Peter Cullen.
    2) Frank Welker's "SoundKlaw" voice.
    3) The designs of Optimus, Jazz, and Shockwave.
    4) Rachel Taylor, the one hot chick in any of these movies who wasn't just there for the sheer jiggle of it and could actually act (or at least something close to it).
    5) Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson, playing the only two hero characters that were worth a damn in the first three movies.
    6) Leonard Nimoy as the voice of Optimus' mentor.
    7) The Cybertron flashbacks in TF'07 and DOTM.
    8) Optimus' air-drop entrance in ROTF.
    9) Holo-avatars.
    10) Kevin Dunn, the only tolerable Witwicky of the bunch.
And I'll even add a couple more:
    11) Optimus Prime meeting the real Buzz Aldrin.
    12) Frances McDormand, playing the only authority figure in any of these movies who didn't completely ham up in the final act.
    13) Alan Tudyk, playing the ONLY comedy relief character in any of these movies, human OR robotic, that I actually liked.

For a top ten list I'd put the sound effects in there somewhere. I guess maybe you could put it under effects in general but the sound came out so well in the films I really like it should be praised separately. I'd also throw scale onto the list because sometimes it's really hard to get a feeling for the size of the Transformers except the Beast Wars episode where they found the Ark so it was cool to see just how large they were with the camera at human level in so many of the shots.

In places, yes. But most of it is poorly filmed.

CGI. That is just boss. ILM making renders and then just implementing it onto the big screen in a way that just makes the robots look realistic absolutely blows me away every time.

    1.The special effects
    2.The Soundtrack
    3.The redesigning of the transformers
4.The voice cast (it's pretty awesome how they keep on bringing back all the original G1 voice actors)
5.The plot of DOTM (Yes it may be riddled with stupid Sam scenes and ridiculous humour and full of explosions but what little story is left is quite good)
6.The replacement of Shia LaBeouf with Mark Wahlberg
7.The inclusion of Lockdown as a villain
    8.Simmons and Dutch in DOTM
9.Non stop action (can be seen as a negative)
    10.THE TRAILERS

mine aren't in any order. and there aren't ten.

the designs.. i LOVE the designs, they needed some getting used to at first, but they're ridiculously interesting and very refreshingly different.. in particular, prime, starscream, sideswipe, soundwave (AMG mode) and for some reason i REALLY liked megatrons look in rotf.

the sound.. especially after you watch the dvd extra's on making the sounds and how they captured different noises for different things, it's very interesting.

peter cullen.. to me, he'll always be the best voice for prime, the others just don't give the character that .. i don't know, something intangible that it needs.

the CGI.. my eye for CG isn't as great as others, but the movies have looked fantastic to me.. truly incredible job.

also, i thought shia was great for the first movie.. and i recall a LOT of people on here also sharing that opinion when the first movie came out.. he's gotten a bad rap lately, it seems like some people forget how well he did in the first.

though i'm sure most people will disagree, but i enjoyed agent simmons, i thought he was rather amusing.. sure, i didn't want to see his ass either, but it was still funny and unexpected.

lastly, the vehicle mode choices.. the camaro, mercedes AMG, that GORGEOUS concept corvette, the audi R8, an F-22, etc.. and now they've raised the bar a bit with this new movie. though it's not exactly hiding when your vehicle mode is a fancy ass car.. but neither was an F1 race car, a hot rod winnebago, a bright blue F-15, a lamborghini, a fire chief lamborghini lol, etc..

I find it pathetic when people say they 'hate Bayformers' I mean c'mon! Grow up! I knew people that complained about Optimus being a long nose truck rather than a flat one, Armada Optimus was a long nose and no one complained.

Yeah, if Optimus turning into the wrong kind of truck was my biggest issue with Bayformers, I'd be much happier with the movies.

    But anyway, here's my list, in no particular order;

    1) The sound design.
    2) The high color contrast in RotF. Only because it sort of reminds me of the similarly colorful '80s Marvel comics.
    3) Sentinel Prime.
    4) Twists and turns. One of the things these movies do that a lot of action movies don't is shifting the power balance. The Autobots have the advantage, then at he Decepticons, and it goes back and forth.
    5) '07 had a pretty good lineup of Autobots.
    6) Wheelie and Brains are the best f*cking things ever put on a screen.
    7) The Transformers relationship with humanity. I mean, it's not done well, but it would've been way too easy to leave it vague like a lot of the cartoons.
    8) RotF's 80s' adventure movie vibe.
    9) Dutch is the best f*cking thing ever put on a screen.
    10) Dem credits...

Ten instances of technical proficiency in CGI by the effects houses.

    Not in any particular order:

    1.ROTF toyline
2.The CGI (bar the end of ROTF)
3.The music score (the WHOA moment of watching 2007 in the theater with Arrival to Earth playing, anybody?)
4.Some of the humor made me laugh- Judy mistaking Soundwave for a perv and Lennox tricking Galloway out of the plane were well done.
    5.The comics were pretty good
    6.The NEST humans
7.Some of the designs were fantastic- Dino and Sentinel were very well done imo.
8.The sound effects were usually well done
    9. Spotting all the references to other continuities is fun

    10. But most importantly to me, the movies allow me to talk about Transformers with friends who, otherwise, would never give the franchise a chance (they don't "do" cartoons/comics). At least for a few months during each movie year they're interested enough to ask questions.

The effects by far IMO. I love seeing transformers on the big screen. Wheter they're blowing each other to shreds or just walking around that's always mind blowing to me. I love how real they look, and the action is fantastic as well.

To say people don't like the movie for just one reason is like saying people enjoy the movies for just one reason. It varies from person to person so for me alt modes aren't really a problem because I'm okay with G1 Soundwave, Animated Soundwave, and Transformers Prime Soundwave even though the alt modes were radio, car, surveillance drone.

Alt modes in the films aren't really a problem for me even if I'd rather have Ratchet as an ambulance, Starscream as an F-35 Lightning II instead of an F-22 Raptor, and Bumblebee as a small car. Given what you see on the road these days Prime's truck is fine for a modern setting and Iron Hide's alt mode seemed more fitting than his G1 alt mode.

Gonna disagree on that. Starscream´s ego would not allow him to scan nothing less than what is the pinnacle of fighter technology. Blitzwing would be better suited for the F-35 (how one would fit the tank mode on that is beyond me).
