In celebration of the brands 40 years & the release of Transformers One I went back and looked at all the characters over the years. All the characters that left an impression on me. It was interesting to see who came and who left my list of favorites. So I decided to make a top ten list. My ten favorite Autobots/Maximals and my ten favorite Decepticons/Predacons. For the Autobots: 1. Jazz 2. Optimus Prime 3. Windblade 4. Blaster 5. Ratchet 6. Sideswipe 7. Ironhide 8. Wheeljack 9. Hound 10. Bulkhead For the Decepticons: 1. Starscream 2. Soundwave 3. Thundercracker 4. Skywarp 5. Barricade 6. Menasor/The Stunticons 7. Slipstream 8. Knock Out 9. Waspinator 10. Blitzwing If it wasn’t obvious by my choices there is a lot of Bayverse influence. It was what got me into the brand as a preteen/teenager after all. However that doesn’t mean some iterations of them didn’t leave an impression either like G1 Ironhide to Prime Ratchet. Optimus is an idol and a hero I look up to so he had to be close to number one. However I also felt Jazz was just the coolest Autobot ever. Also big into radio dudes who had an army of tiny cassettes, neat. But Starscream has taken the top spot as my favorite Transformer. Armada made me fall in love with him and he’s a treat whenever he shows up. Of course that influenced me to become a huge Seeker guy in general. From the Clone Troopers in Star Wars to the Seekers of Transformers, I have a thing for a uniform team of similar looking guys I guess. Botcon 2011 was my first convention ever and the Stunticons were the boxset that year. However getting more into them I found they had the most distinct and unique personalities of all the combiners. Like I can describe all five better then say the Combaticons. So that’s my top ten, what is all of your top ten favorite heroes and villians of the brand?

Nonetheless, I love the Quints regardless

Autobots: opitmus prime, Bumblebee, wheeljack, Elita one, arcee, ratchet,ironhide, Cliffjumper, Chromia, hoist Decepticons: Megatron, starscream, Soundwave, flamewar, Shockwave, Slipstream, Bludgeon, Kickback, thundercracker Hoist was my first transformer toy ever Shockwave is always written well Soundwave is perfect alongside thundercracker Arcee is so good and her design is good Opitmus prime have alway been a real hero than captain American or batman as he is kind and truly humble. Ciffjumper was I think be the perfect protagonist for transformers and gald that Skybound is taking care of him Megatron is just well written most of time Bumblebee is just cool to me and I never get tried of him but like give the bee a break. Overall, transformers is reason I am me with no matter what happened will keep me alive and be there with it world and characters. I feel at home with transformer and that no other franchise will be like transformers.

It took me an embarrassingly long time to realize you mean the TLK version and not one from some obscure French TF animation I haven't heard of. It'd be so sweet, too, the comic and animation industry in France is in a league of its own.

I can't put them in any particular order, it was already hard enough to limit it to 10 as is lol. Autobots 1.WFC/FOC Optimus Prime, my favorite Prime 2. Ultra Magnus, G1 season 3 & Albino Prime 3. Cliffjumper, G1 & FOC were fun. 4. Jazz, G1,FOC & now TFOne joins the list. 5. G1 Hoist, I have a soft spot for him. 6. AOE Hound, violent, funny & packs guns. 7. Warpath, all versions are a BOOM! 8. Sentinel Prime, Any time he is a scumbag. 9. G1Wheeljack, I just like the guy, he is great. 10. Punch, so much story potential. Decepticons 1.Megatron, most versions are entertaining. 2.G1 Starscream, the highlights of Sunbow G1 3.Brawl, WFC is probably my favorite version. 4.Onslaught, FOC really did him justice. 5.Vortex, his G1 bio is nuts. 6.G1 Blast Off, he hides his loneliness, that's cute. 7.Swindle, a scumbag but the Combaticons are a team so no one gets left behind. 8.Bruticus, my favorite Combiner & looks cool. 9.RID Scourge, best Optimus clone yet. 10.Counterpunch, a lot of story potential too.
