I think I got them both for $80. They were what got me into the 3P scene. At the time, I thought that was a lot for 2 figures... how the times have changed. lol

 

They're deluxe sized so they're best with classics.

 

Thanks again everyone for the info! A fellow member here has offered up his set to me. I really think these guys will look great with my "MP G1" collection. I always felt the jumpstarters should've been close to the mini-bots, well, in 3p world now they can LOL.

 

These th8ngs were eventually sold on clearance at the usual retailers. No chance they get reissued.

Why did folk not buy them at the time?

 

In case anybody is interested I am working on a set of heads and accessories of this duo for CW bodies. You may not get the blocky alt mode without some heavy mods but you do get some decent bit modes

 

I wish they would rerelease these guys, I never had the spare money on me to buy them, and now they are impossible to get.

 

I picked up the recolor set, and I think all they really need are chunkier shoulder spars.
