My Top 10 of 2022 Purchases: (Order is based on my first impression when unboxing it and how excited I was to receive the package)
    1. MB Strike Noir
    2. MB Strike (Heliopolis Rollout vers) - Been holding off getting a Strike for a long time... thus the excitement
    3. MB Crossbones X0
    4. SOC GaoGaiGar
    5. Legacy Dragstrip
    6. Lego Ninjago Samurai X Mech
    7. MB Exia Devise
    8. MB EVA-01
    9. MB Justice - I don't love the mecha design, however the paint app and QC has impressed me thus far
    10. MDLX Bumblebee

    Honorable Mentions:
    • MB Freedom 2.0 - Love the design, so-so with the color and paint app used on it
    • MB EVA-00 - was hyped with the twin giant cannons.. but found it a bit lacking once unboxed - still love the figure and color choices
    • Legacy Motormaster - had a slight color discoloration on some parts, nevertheless still an awesome toy to play with
    • Moshow Date Masamune - Awesome QC and price, just not my favorite design
    • MRD Bael - slight QC issue on the paint, but still awesome design

Just to chuck in my Top 3 Unimpressed Purchases (with reasons) for 2022:
    1. RIOBOT Tekkaman Blade - Stupid head fins have to glue it in...
    2. MB Astray Red Dragonics - Poor QC...
    3. Some random KO Soundwave Cassettes from Taobao - POOR POOR quality... well its KO... what should I expect.. mainly got it for my kids

    Also in no particular order:

    1. Sergeant Slaughter
    2. Pink Skulls Gig From Hell Set
    3. Mafex Iron Man
    4. SHF Krillin (Strongest Man On Earth)
    5. SHF SSJ4 Goku
    6. SHF Buzz Lightyear
    7. Mafex Wolverine (Brown Suit)
    8. Atticus Doom
    9. Viper 3-Pack
    10. Serpentor
My personal favorite top 3 are:
    1. Sergeant Slaughter. Had to be #1. Had to be. Not even Serpentor gave me the same out of the box presence and sheer feeling of “they NAILED it”.

    2. Atticus Doom. IMO the best original IP creation from Mezco to date. Intriguing and engaging backstory, unique and interesting design, an ABUNDANCE of accessories that are original, unique, and perfectly suited to the character and make the figure even more visually impressive. Takes everything good about Doc Nocturnal and makes it better.

    3. SHF Krillin(SMOE). Another example of nailing the likeness as well as absolutely perfect articulation. Incredibly versatile and expressive; I wish they could get more use from the mold.

    Honorable mentions to:
    Masterpiece Skids (and iterations thereof)
    Mezco Spider-Man 2099
    Python Patrol BAT and Vipers

The list of what made me happiest this year might be a little weird but here goes:

    1) KO Green Hulk
    2) KO Symbiote Spiderman
    3) Retro Tigra
    4) Retro Hercules
    5) Retro Beast
    6) AI Iron Man
Despite having bought hundreds of Marvel Legends over the years, this is the first time I feel like I have near perfect representations of characters as I knew them in the 1980's.

    7) Premium DNA Madballs: Despite the Megalopolis connection, these delivered everything they promised.

    8) MOTU Origins Roton: Perfect.

It’s crazy how massively different most of these lists are so far. I know peoples’ tastes and interests differ, but there’s so much great stuff out there right now.

I excluded Transformers (I don't think I even bought over 5 this year) & Lego.
20221220_225156.jpg 20221220_225105.jpg honorable mentions are SnakeEyes & Storm Shadow here.
20221220_224751.jpg I never expected to find this Lizard so I never expected I'd buy one. I got the last one the other week. He's so much more functional than the BAF especially the tail. Fun to mess with.
20221220_225924.jpg Hulk is fun to play with & I like how he looks between Red Hulk & Grey Hulk.
20221220_225740.jpg Joker the Comedian is the king of all the McFarlane Toys Jokers so far. If it's ever topped it won't ever be forgotten.
20221220_225548.jpg DKR Batman! One of the few that has a thigh swivel!
20221220_225234.jpg I don't know ANYTHING about this version of Slash. But he's a Slash & he looks great.
20221220_225508.jpg BAB FTW! Big Ass Bane For the Win!
20221220_225424.jpg Classic Martian Manhunter is 10/10... Would be 11/10 if it had a flight stand.
20221220_224855.jpg ultimate warrior Predator! Finally! Feels like I've been waiting for 2 years for this guy to come out. I normally do not like it when a toy comes with a lot of accessories (I get overwhelmed keeping up with & storing) but I enjoy everything that came with this guy.
20221220_224823.jpg just look at this! I think the head sculpt is perfect.
20221220_225020.jpg this Slash is my favorite version. Super 7 did a great update.

Between preorders that cross over into the next year, and waiting until my BBTS PoL has a comma in it to ship, I often can't remember what actually came OUT in the current year. But I'm pretty sure all of the following apply:

    Haslab Galactus - 'Nuff Said
Haslab Victory Saber - standout fig among the increasing population of Japanese G1 characters in the modern line
Classified Serpentor - putting the chariot together really brought me back to doing the same for the original
Classified BAT - could really just put the whole damn Classified line in here, but BAT has always been a fave among faves
Marvel Legends (comic) Iron Spider - long awaited upgrade to the old version
Legacy Alpha Trion - finally a version that looks mostly like the toon, even if it's just a repaint
Shattered Glass Delta Magnus - took long enough; bye-bye chonky Fansproject add-on armor
Buzzworthy BlueSilverWhateverStreak - finally a BLUEstreak, my favorite Diaclone alternate, in the regular/non-MP scale
FansToys Chomp - only Con HM I had as a kid; wanted him more than Lupus and Dracula
Moon Studio Radiatron - I cheat. OG Raiden was my first dip into Japanese G1 over 20 years ago, and this thing is an absolute beast. Still buying the TT/MP version too, but he won't be complete until '23.

My top 4 figures(and 1 statue:p ) of 2022 I purchased this year in no particular order but happy to finally own:

●MS Prime V2- What a love hate relationship. Looks great and articulation is amazing but just the feel of the plastic still bugs me a little.

●RP Acoustic Wave KO- Been wanting this figure since it's release but just couldn't justify the asking price. Don't think I will be swapping out SW anytime soon.

●Bishoujo Mai shiranui - First venture into the Bishoujo line and its such a beautiful piece. As a kid I always used her and Terry in the original Fatal Fury 2. Might dive more onto this line if they make characters I actually use.

    ●Dx VF-1D- Another year,another Dx VF-1. I hate myself:(

●FT Jive/Jazz- Just got him in and it's perfect in my eyes. Slightly some annoying tolerances and i sorta don't think the price of admission is worth it but overall I'm happy to have Jazz in my collection. Contemplating if I even want to transform it. It looks like a nightmare but doable IMO.
    20221222_130742.jpg
Didn't buy as much as previous years bc I think I'm slowing down on collecting in general. Just waiting for a couple key favorite characters and I'm riding off to the sunset.

For figures from this year that are in no particular order:

    Diaclone Powered Convoy
    Newage EX Devastator
    Newage Optimus
    Newage IDW Cyclonus
    MMC Streetwise
    MMC Star Convoy
    The entire MotU Origins line
    NECA Archie Comics Slash
    Mezco Atticus Doom
    Neca Mummy Michelangelo
    NECA Last Ronin
    Naughty or Nice Santa

Some Possible Top Ten releases (which I either haven’t opened yet or am waiting on in the mail)

    SOC Daitetsujin 17
    Newage EX Jetfire
    Mezco Death Dealer

Special mention purchases that were bought this year but released prior to 2022

Maketoys Contact Shot (in the top 3 best purchase this year for me)

    Fanshobby Pyro

    Super 7 main turtles

    Reissue God Ginrai

For a year when my mainline transformers purchases slowed a lot, a lot of my favorite releases sure were transformers lol

Edit: added NECA Last Ronin that I got the week before New Years. It’s superb
