Can't say I have a ton, this was a pretty good year, but some figures I guess I'll mention:

5: POTP Jazz. He's not a bad figure. Not at all. He's just incredibly average, though I do like his proportions.

4: TLK Barricade. Again, not bad, but just really mundane and boring.

3: TLK Slash. I'm really cheating with this one, but considering it's this a-hole's fault that kept subsequent waves from showing up, I'm more than a little ticked at the guy. (...gal... whatever.)

2: RID15 Warrior Soundwave. I don't like his proportions, I don't like his weird, deformed translucent face with molded eyes that just mesh with the rest of him, his chest doesn't peg in right, and he feels pretty dang flimsy. He'd honestly be number 1 if not for what that figure did.

1: TR Skyshadow. "WHAT?!" You might be asking. "How can he say TR Skyshadow is his worst figure????!!!!" To be honest, he probably shouldn't be. Like Jazz and Barricade, he's mostly just "average". However, I was beyond hyped for him. He was my most anticipated release. He looked crazy amounts of fun, and when I finally got him... I was so disappointed it made me question whether or not I was done with collecting.

With respect to ones I bought, my Octane had a shoulder-stack/truck top that wouldn't fold and instead snapped off. Aside from that, it was a great figure and I still considered it and Astrotrain to be the only TR voyagers worth purchasing. I know the Megatron/Blitzwing mold has its fans, but it wasn't for me.

I'll humbly disagree with the "if you don't have it, you can't possibly comment on it" opinion expressed here in a couple of posts. I've never had my kneecaps broken, but enough people have commented negatively about it for me to conclude that it is a bad thing that I should take pains to avoid. If something just flat-out looks terrible or has enough people complaining about it in a consistent manner, than that's enough to make a conclusion in my book.

With this said, I'll comment on the generations line since it was the only one that I consider purchasing (for reasons best/already expressed in another thread). I thought that Twinferno looked pretty ugly and literally turned down a chance to get one for $10 and change yesterday. Broadside's issues turned me off. As my like of Astrotrain shows, I can tolerate a so-so mold, but that jet mode was ridiculous and the aircraft carrier mode didn't charm me as much as others. Sadly however, I'd place Trypticon at the top. The QC/design issues (tail, hips, flap in front) scared me off. Those things should have been caught and fixed prior to distribution for a $150 toy. Sure, you can cut it open and fix it, but all I can envision is somebody buying this for his/her kid (as a sole birthday/X-mas present at that price) and having it break within a day. It's a shame, because it looked amazing aesthetically.

I hear you. I thought he looked pretty cool until I saw him in a store. He just seemed blah in hand. Can't really put my finger on what specifically turned me off.

    TR Blitzwing
    TR Octane
    TR Krok
    TR Broadside
    TR Cosmos

All of those for minor QC issues. I didn't buy anything I actually thought was bad.

If MP-36 was $100, I wouldn't have the energy to be upset about him either. At >$180, I can understand the outrage.

I had to look back at release dates but as it turns out I only bought 5 Transformers this year so apparently the 5 best and 5 worst would be the same list. That being said I was quite happy with all of them so I'll just show myself out. :confused2

I'll stick with the idea of only going with what I have bought/had personal experience with:
TLK Skullbane- Nice design ruined by horrible tolerances.
TLK Infernocious- Loved the Abominus combiner, but this one is just not as good. A torso bot without an altmode sealed it's doom.
TR Highbrow- most boring figure I've gotten in a long time.
TLK (new mold) Bumblebee- what a piece of crap. Tiny, fiddly, and loose as Stacy's mom. The only figure I returned because it was crap.
TR Tidal Wave- I'm not keen on the transformation, and really dislike the implied mass-shifting. I never got Broadside, but ended up with TW because I got the box set. Makes me wish I didn't.

Oh, and saying MP-36 is bad because of the price makes no sense. I guess that makes Cadillacs, Lincolns and Jaguars bad as well.

I must be crazy. I love the Skullitron/Steelbane mold despite it's flaws.

My vote would go to POTP Grimlock. The dino mode just plain sucks. Hopefully, Hasbro will make a voyager Grimlock without the combiner gimmick some day.

This is quite hard. I loved and hated every figure equally.

EDIT: I can't tag xwing_saber for some reason.

Anything The Last Knight has been abysmal. I got Leader Megatron for $20 on sale. Half the parts fall off during transforming it, and the plastic feels worse than dollar store KOs. His jet mode is impressive from a distance, but the minute you touch it you just go eeeeeewwwww.

TR Cosmos can't even stay together in spaceship mode. It just flops apart. I had to give my son my Generations Cosmos and keep the floppy mess for me. It is the same figure, how can the new one be so bad?

Oh TR Highbrow. Your arms are terrible and the floppy head. Just pitiful.

TR Wolfwire. Exploding legs and a back hinge that snaps when looking at it wrong.

Trypticon. Your tail doesn't work because of a part that isn't molded correctly. Your hips are terrible. Inexcusable on a $150 toy. REMOLD THE DAMN PART!!!

    1) I thought the Voyager Megatron was pretty good. Did you try that one?

2)QC issues? I don't think I ever heard about that.

    3) Agreed. Confused as to why Hasbro didn't fix it when they released Scourge.

    4) Mine too. I don't know if the one that was repacked into Wave 5 fixed it.

    5) QC?

    * TR Hot Rod - Mine was a floppy mess that needed several coats of Future to tighten up. Also don't like how low his spoiler sits in robot mode.
    * TLK deluxe Steelbane - Same reason as TR Hot Rod only much worse. Didn't even bother with the future, just returned it to the store.
    * TR Magnus Prime (from Siege on Cybertron set) - Not very hyped on this guy as I thought I would've been. Especially disappointing that mine had the QC issue of not having the clips on the bottom of his feet for attaching God Bomber.
    * TF Legends Godbomber - Parts coming off in trailer attachment mode, robot mode, and trying to combine.
    * TF Platinum "Rise of Rodimus Prime" set - Know this is a cheat since there are two figures instead of one, but both figures were not that great to me.

Trying to stick with stuff I actually own:

    * TLK Steelbane - the ragdoll TF
    * RID Crash Combiner Shocknado - OK, I bought that one mostly for the name.
    * TR Wolfwire - Actually not bad as a toy, but the back snapped and I lost the frickin' head.
    * RID Galvatronus combiner - probably better than the Bee team combiner, but doesn't hold together well with annoying spring-loaded bits and 'what is it?' vehicle modes.
    * MP Megatron - full disclosure, mine is a KO as I couldn't bring myself to pay around $200. Amazing robot mode, okay gun mode, amazing yet nightmarish and finish-scuffing transformation. One of those perfect 'find a good pose and leave it on the shelf' Transforners.

    (dis)honorable mentions:
*MPM Optimus - if not for that molding issue which caused some parts to not line up right, near-disastrous for a Masterpiece fig.
*TR Trypticon - Mostly for the sheer amount of QC issues had by people, but when they aren't there, or are fixed, it's a tower of awesome.

Did you buy any of the toys on your list or at least held them in your hands, or did you just looked at all the complaining on the TFW2005 forum and decided to base all of your judgments on them?

    Stuff I own...

Voyager Megatron. The dull grey face on his head is just bland and sucks the life out of the character. I did paint it silver and it helped but you shouldn't have to with a €30 Voyager figure.

I did paint his body as Flywheels and stuck the Flywheels Titanmaster on it so not a total loss.

TR Hot Rod. I was hoping he'd scale closer to my preferences but he didn't. Still the oversized ko of CW Hot Rod hit the spot perfectly.

Alpha Trion. I hate the character but figured I could enjoy having my Decepticons kill him over and over again. Not a bad toy but I can't forgive modern beast bots lacking the ability to open and close the beast's mouth

Oh and I hate facial hair and bad cliches of character. Awful name too.

TR Astrotrain. Just bland and I feel he should be a lot bigger. Probably repaint him as Cybertronian Nightflight or Airwave

TR Blaster. Not a bad toy but he just felt too big and I just think the Device Label version is a much better representation of the character and looks nice alongside Titans Perceptor.

    Stuff I don't own:

Octane. The bot mode looks great but the truck looks smaller than I prefer and the fact the Titanmaster can't sit in the cab is just wrong.

    POTP Dreadwind. Far too small.

    POTP Darkwing. Far too small.

    POTP Jazz. Too big.

Orion Pax/Optimus Prime. Orion's head sculpt based on the animation model just sickens me. It was horrible in the cartoon and should never again see the light of day. Awful name too.

I'll go with figures I own. I would hate to be so full of angst and seething hatred that I couldn't convey my feelings sans grammatical errors like this:

"not in scale with the another", "in all the time". The hell is that, also that coming from someone who hasn't even handled the toys he just bitched about?

Anyways, my thoughts on figures I own that I found disappointing from actual handling:

LG Godbomber- This figure was made primarily to combine with Super Ginrai. On its own I was expecting an awesome standalone figure. I was unfortunately wrong. Forearms are hollow, arm joints could be tighter. Still...alright but could've been so much better.

TLK Infernocus- Skulk is cool but his feet teammates are unstable as feet so this will topple over like he did in the movie. Could've been much better. I remember Hasbro hyping up how it was more sturdier combined compared to BH Abominus. Then I got to the feet. Ugh.

Tiny Turbochangers Sideswipe- I bought this on a whim thinking I would enjoy it because it was cheap and small as a novelty item. I was wrong. Felt like a waste of money. Feels like a hard, transforming eraser.

Titanmaster diecast Rodimus Prime- this seems like a marketing decision gone very wrong. There is no use for this thing being diecast. Something tells me someone at Hasbro marketing went "GUYS, COLLECTORS LIKE DIECAST. LET'S MAKE A DIECAST. HEAD!". On paper this might sound enticing. In execution, the diecast works against it. Mine has a lot of resistance turning to 1 side. Most likely due to tighter tolerances of the diecast plus dried paint. Should've been all plastic.

RID Twinferno- definitely one of the better RID figures in the Warrior class. Definitely needed more work to feel worth the MSRP. I don't think any of the Warriors justify their MSRP($10 is more appropriate). I just find Twinferno lacking. More hollow than I would like, colors look cheap, transformation more predictable than I would like. Not terrible, a decent release but not very exciting aside from uniqueness.
