AHM @ number 3?! LSOTW deserves the #1 spot, I have no problem with that. But AHM is certainly the most polarizing series in the franchise's history.. But as an ongoing, MTMTE is hands down the best Transformers comic we have seen..not sure what the criteria was for this list
I only agree with the top 2. For me its- 5. The Smelting Pool!/The Bridge to Nowhere! 4. MTMTE 3. Marvel US Unicron Arc (Basically #61-75) 2. LSOTW 1. Chaos Theory
Even without looking at the list, just considering where the list comes from pretty much guarantees it's uselessness. And looking at the list... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHANO.
They picked "Matrix Quest" for Marvel, because it's the only "arc'ish" story they could find from that era, that wasn't an UK story, eh?
This is a joke list right? Out of all the awesome story-lines like City of Fear, Space Pirates, Time Wars, Target 2006, Legacy of Unicron, the Underbase saga, Shadowplay, Chaos Theory they go with fucking Regeneraton 1, All Hail Megatron and War Within?!?! Wat?
Whoever made that list hasn't a clue about transformer comics Regen 1 - you really want to include that mess of a series in the top 5, where MTMTE, RID, Autocracy, Chaos Theory or anything from marvel UK
Not that I agree with the choices but I have sympathy for the author, as someone who's tried, as far as selling new readers on Transformers comics. I love just plunging into MtMtE, but even I sometimes have TFWiki up in another window, you know? The most excellent stuff is not always the most accessible. I notice all of these are limited series with simple, self contained pitches. "Follow up the original G1 comic." "Optimus Prime origin story." "Blow up the world with Megatron." "Gritty Transformers commando raid." That's not out of accident or ignorance.
I am kind of shocked that MTMTE didn't make it. I like the war within and Matrix quest but my God AHM and RG1? Ar least Last Stand is where it belongs.
Yeah, just the absence of any Marvel UK whatsoever is enough to delegitimize the list completely. War Within was good, though. Maybe not top-5, but good. And I like Furman's Marvel US run, but Matrix Quest would be the last of his arcs that I would nominate.
