I have this idea to turn Universe countdown into a classics machine wars soundwave. Is this too much for a first kitbash? i havent done one before but i think this is a great idea
Personally, I don't think it's too much for a first 'bash. Most of the work should be repainting and other than that, some light mods (maybe a head mod or headswap). Just look at it from this perspective..........you gotta start SOMEWHERE, right? Why not do what you want and enjoy it? I say go for it, bro.
I have a commission I'm working of with this exact idea. The light mods should be good practice and a nice first step for a custom.
ok cool thanks guys. i was thinking repainting of course and a headswap. the weapons are already there.
Do it. I happen to think larger figures are a bit easier. Less friction, less balljoints, bigger heads. But, if you have some smaller, less expensive figures to practice on a bit, it might save you from making your first mistakes on a $30 toy.
I say don't limit yourself just because it's your first bash. Whether it comes out fantastic or a piece of crap, you learn something from the experience. There are a ton of ideas to be shared and plenty of help to be garnered by this community. So reach for the stars. Why not?
oh im gonna do this bash.It just sounds awsome and i got alot of great ideas for it. thanks guys for responding
