Combiner Wars Devastator - Hasbro if your like me and will display him in combined mode, Takara if your going individual robot mode.

If money is no object, gravity builder is arguably the best devy. Toyworld is pretty good also. Probably more mp scale. Takara devy is the best bang for buck. Less than half the price of 3rd party too.

I would avoid CW Devastator, the lack of elbows on Scrapper and Long Haul as well as the lack of accessories and paint was insulting for a Titan class figure, but the UW version looks to be damn near perfect. I've also heard great things about Maketoys Green Giant. Personally, I'm planning on picking up the UW version as my next big TF purchase, most of the other third party offerings are really expensive.

CW Devastator is the best option in terms of price, look (probably the best combined mode overall), and cartoon faithfulness.

For a CHUG scale more directly compatible with Combiner Wars, Hercules is your best bet, though it's aging. It is a fair bit larger than any CW Deluxe+Voyager combiner, however if you get the Perfect Effect (or Simple Version) hands/feet / chests and do some of the common fan transofrmations, they're all roughly the same size.

Well that depends on your needs. What factors are you shopping by? Here's my take.

PRICE: If you want to own a good Devastator that works well with CHUG and even Masterpiece Transformers then get a Hasbro Combiner Wars Devastator. You might be able to still find it for less than $200

DESIGN/SCALE: Toyworld Devastator. Its a gorgeous figure that looks like the IDW version and is massive enough to perfectly scale with Masterpiece figures. Visually the smaller, clunky Hasbro version does not compare. Do you have $600?

    PERFECTION: Wait for Fanstoys. :D

Lookswise i cant ignore the superiority of UW Devastator.
Sizewise Maketoys giant fits better with the other CW and UW gestalts.

Price per value is Japan's UW Devastator

Best CHUG is Maketoys Green Giant. The components are deluxe sized, but they're very durable and still retain the value

Hercules needs add on parts and shit and I've heard many issues of it having the joints wear down over the years.

Toyworld has insane arm and combiner mode engineering, but the components were pretty boring. The only cool part are the treads being working treads and working feet for Bonecrusher/Scavenger, but everyone else felt simplistic.

Gravity Builder looks like the old IDW comics. I regret picking TW over him; he just looks like so much more fun.

Takara Unite Warriors is the most accurate with more articulation than Hasbro in robot modes. While some of the 3P look nice (Giant in particular), for the most part their robot modes are inaccurate to their G1 selves and are much more expensive.

He certainly did not review them all

The one Devastator that's scaled correctly with the rest of the official combiners has no such problems.

If only they weren't Voyagers. Constructicons shouldn't be as big as Dinobots in robot mode.

For me at least, having Voyager Dinobots mandates the Constructicons be Deluxes.

Wish I still had my Giant. My favorite Devy currently is DX9's Hulkie. Not perfect by any means but its the one I've messed with the most.

I got MF-17 Hercules (which is the KO dx9 hulkie). It was really cheap, so for that price I'd say it's pretty nice

    That's good news...bad news.

Good news: It will be awesome!

Bad news: It won't come out until 2019 at the earliest most likely.

The best G1 accurate one is the CW/UW one. In combined mode, it scales really well with masterpieces too, depending on which episode you are basing scale on. ha

I should specify that i think Giant is also tops in the looks department as far as combined mode goes.
He is the perfect chug Devastator imo if only he could seperate into the perfect Constructicons.
