seriously though, judging from the past, he'll probably be a new character, like Frenzy being killed off in TF1, and his voice actor taking on a new character in ROTF (for some reason i cant remember the guys name right now though lol)

Who has time for some trivial side story element, like "The Fallen".They had important story elements to consider. Did you even care that Sam and Mikaela's relationship was strained after he left for college. Sam's mother had a hard time letting go, but at least she admitted her concern, which is something that Sam's father failed to do. I'm just glad that college hussy got sprayed in the face, because that yellow car had her number, hmm.

Seriously though, I doubt they bring The Fallen back. I'd rather not see him anyway, as they made him weak and forgettable. I like your idea about The Fallen's motive for the next movie, but that would require the original Fallen, not the H.R. Geiger stick figure Bay pawned off on us. Even if they brought him back, he would get pantsed by the wonder twins, Skidmark and Sluggo.

i started a thread about this last year.....

here was at memorabilia he in the UK, he said that he was already asked to return to the 3rd movie as the fallen.

Hey Hasbro, up for making a Leader-Class Fallen? My wallet waits patiently.

 

Lol. The fallen was a pretty lame character.

 

I'm fine with him returning to voice act, but not as The Fallen. I hated that character. It was great knowing where the Decepticons get their logo from, but otherwise...stay dead Fallen.

We need Dinobots and Aerialbots in the 3rd Transformers. I saw this photo someone created on another fansite with Grimlock being formed from T-Rex bones. It's awesome...metal and bone. It'd be a cool thing to include in the next movie, along with a least two other Dinos...Swoop, Snarl. It'd also be cool to see Wreck-Gar, for comedy, rather than those other twins.

Bay and Hasbro would also be wise to include the Stunticons, that'd pull in the Nascar crowd, giving them another...advertising vehicle. I didn't care much for Bay's version of Devastator....especially the weird head. Bring back G1!

 

That is why Optimus Prime can't wait for TF3  

 

I'd imagine if Todd's being asked/told to return for TF3 this early in the game, it likely means he'll be reprising his role as The Fallen. Otherwise, we're looking at a major shift in how they're approaching this film, TF character-wise, compared to the previous two installments.

I think there's plenty of potential for The Fallen's character, both as an element of the TF backstory for the movie-verse, and with his relationship to Megatron. As a writer, it'd be one of the ideas from ROTF I would most like to have seen explored that wasn't.

 

Bay was ballsy enough to use the same actor to play two different characters (General Morshower and Coronel Sharpe [a name he likes- see Armageddon]) in the same franchise.....so reason would have it that it probably will be a different character much like Bruce Cambell in Spiderman.

Though, we really have no idea or direction for what this news means except that we know nothing and can only speculate.

Regardless, Tony Todd's voice when he said "Only a PRIME can defeat me." was deep, reverberating, and powerful. Look forward to more of his work.

 

It does seem a little early. It could just mean that the production is proceeding at a high pace. Or Bay's approaching the people he wants as voices early and they haven't signed non-disclosure agreements.

 

I sorta hope he is a bit more badass.

 

Bay tends to go out of his way to hire somebody he likes apparently, so it's not really a surprise that he may be hiring and making sure that they'll be avaible so early.

Bay really likes to bring back the bad guys huh. I wonder who the Fallen is subservient to
