This is Based of a thought from TrueNomadSkies.

Do you ever think that Tony Jay, right before his death, would've made a Good Megatron?

MMM. I think he might've been a better fit for Shockwave.

Well to be honest, I've always found Tony Jay's work to be amazing in every sense of the word (Megabyte especially), so I'd have loved to see him in any Transformers related role, be it Megatron, Shockwave, Unicron, or again, really anyone. Much like Jeffrey Combs, he has one of those voices that immediately drew you into whatever he was doing, and you could really appreciate how he became that character.

Getting to the examples however, I'm gonna have to go with Unicron. Now, this isn't to say that he couldn't knock Shockwave or even Megatron outa the Space Bridge, but more so that Megatron & Megabyte already have so many parallels, especially when it comes to the Beasties/Beast Machines incarnations. Along with that, Unicron is pretty much the definition of the TF related Big Bad, and David Kaye/Frank Welker seem to already have the Megatron race won in my opinion.

Mind you, it's not like Graveheart & Big Enzo having the same voice was really a bad thing (especially since they're sort of the same character in my ways), but Unicron would definitely be my pick.

*Megatron chases Nova Prima across Cybertron*

    Nova Prime - Sanctuary! SANCTUARY!

    *Megatron kills her*

Megatron - "Oh, a Hatchling..A MONSTER!" *approaches a Well, preparing to throw the Hatchling on it*

    Alpha Trion - STOP!

Megatron - This is an unholy spawn of Unicron! I'm sending him back to Pit where he belongs.

Alpha Trion [singing] - "See there the innocent blood you have spilt on the core of Cybertrooon!"

Megatron - "I'm guiltless, she ran I pursued."

Alpha Trion [singing] - "Now you would add this child's blood to your guilt
    On the core of Cybertrooon".

Megatron - "My Conscience is clear!"

Alpha Trion [singing] - "You can lie to yourself and your minions! Say that you haven't got a quaaaalm! But you can't hide from those eyes...those very eyes of CYBERTROOOOON!"

*Statues of the Thirteen stare down threateningly at Megatron*

Knockout [voiceover] - "And for one time in his live of power and cracks, Megatron felt a twinge of fear for his immortal Spark!"

You know you WANT something like this.

    Good question.
Just pick Alpha Trion's voice actor or David Odge Stears [The Archdeachon's voice actor].

He would have been great for a new unicron.

any lesser mech would've still been awesome.

Wait, the Archdeacon in was David Ogden Stiers? I didn't know that. Then again, I associate DOS with Charles Winchester the Third, and it takes a second to remember that DOS's natural accent isn't a Boston drawl, so that's whay I didn't make the connection.

That said, Tony Jay (after I looked up who he was) could've made a good Megatron. I also support a TF version of the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Now who'd play the titular character...

Yep, he was The Archdeachon [and he played the role very well I must add].
Stiers was in another Disney movie too, this time as a villain: He was Ratcliffe on "Pocahontas." [you can even hear the similarity between the two characters when you compare the first lines of "Savages" to The Archdeachon's lines in "The Bells of Notre Dame"].

I'd go for Bumblebee, he matches the "naive young guy" type.

    Throw in:
    - Optimus as Phoebus.
    - Elita-One as Esmeralda.
    - Alpha Trion as The Archdeachon.
    - Megatron as Judge Claude Frollo.
    - Knockout [Prime] as Clopin.
    - Grimlock as Hugo.
    - Ultra Magnus as Victor.
    - Arcee as Laverne.

Someone should make a stopmotion with this.

Awesome ideas, a stopmotion would be AWESOME.

Stiers was also Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast, where he ad-libbed the "promises you don't intend to keep" line.
